Ideas for an alter? polearm

I have this 'a well-balanced vultite pole-axe' that has mechanical flares. I thought it would be amusing to have it altered into something like 'an oddly-shaped gnomish scaling fork', or something like that.

I figured I'd reach out to all of you, to see if anyone has some bright ideas for a description and show incorporating the polearm with mech flares and something gnomish.

Does that even work?
