I just received some armor in a trade which has nature resistance on it. Got a few questions:

A) how can I tell if it's permanent/temporary, and how many charges it has left if the latter? I loresung it, and didn't get any indication of its temporary nature, but I thought all nature resistance (IE, against spikethorns, etc) were from the ranger spell, and thus temporary.

B) How does this affect costs for enchanting/padding/etc via premium points?

"Innumerable" charges (has been padded against ice, end sentence) versus many, many, etc.

That wasn't very coherent, my b.

They'll take it off for you and put perm heavy.

What I'm super-interested in knowing, still, is if DAMAGE, not crit factor, can be selected in resistance + flaring services to one of the four elements.

This is the whole loresong. Also, isn't ranger-offered protection only available up to 7x? Nothing about charges, etc. Is this permanent resistance and 8x armor?

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the glaes-plated armor in your hand, and you learn something about it...

The first thing that strikes you about the armor is the weight, which is about 25 pounds. In your best estimation, it's worth about 9,500,000 silvers.

You sense a faint aura of magic around the glaes-plated armor. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the armor is as some type of defensive garment.

It has a bonus of +40 from a normal armor, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it is rigid leather armor. The glaes-plated armor seems to have some sort of unusual protection against damage.

As your song penetrates the glaes-plated armor, you determine that it is resistant to natural attacks.

It's ranger ET'd, nothing is able to be perm'd against nature.

How old is your bard?

36 trains.

But I'm convinced I have been getting all the verses.

NM, I found out you can use a ranger to ASSESS the resistance. Apparently Sepher added it, so it is temporary.

Didn't realize Sepher was a ranger, personally.
