Has anyone downloaded this beta release yet? If so, how does it run, what is your system statistics (Processor speed, processor class, ram(type and amount), free disk space when you installed Longhorn, video card, and beta version you are running.)

Also, any major bugs you've found with it yet. I havnt downloaded it cuz im on a slow PC here, plus dial-up.

If you have no clue what i'm talkin about plz do not ask as i will not respond at this time.

I wasn't aware that this was downloadable for Beta testing yet. I know it isn't due until 2005, so I am a bit dubious thus far.

There is a preview version of Longhorn available, but the last I heard Longhorn will not go beta until the second half of 2004. Have you heard something different?

HarmNone is curious

Those crafty Malaysians apparently produced a leaked copy. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

It's still in alpha phase of design, there is no reason you would even want to use it. - http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20031201/tc_nm/tech_microsoft_piracy_dc_1

Eeew. Yeah, peam. I would think that would be a sure-fire way to send your system to the graveyard for mistreated computers. ;)

HarmNone would not touch it, either

Maybe if you guys were mad haxxors, you'd know that you can find beta releases.

Yeah, but...ummm...I am not a mad haxxor. At least, I do not think I am. :?:

HarmNone...is she is, or is she ain't?

They're actually alpha releases. I'm fairly sure you can get them at downloads.com. You could also probably do a google search.

Longhorn is the next OS (Operating System) being released by Microsoft. It is the successor to Windows XP.

Okay, i dont want to hear how dangerous it could be, i just want to know who is running it and what there running it on, i have it right now, but i dont want to install it til i get input about it...i'll let everyone else be the initial ginny pig, the reason i want to run it is for one to see what its like, 2 i want to try and devolp a couple things for it before its release has arrived...the version i have is alpha 4051.
