It is apparently a design of the system that your advance can be halted due to the masters simply not giving you the knowledge needed to proceed. I think it is pretty stupid, but other people herald it as some great proponent of roleplay.

There are two others who were stupid enough to say they weren't sharing a recipe. One of them I know isn't a recipe that Jayvn has, and the other I think is an overlap of one or the other.

So three of the four people who have been posting about being that far along have gotten independent recipes. If there are more than that...you know what? They haven't posted recipes, either. (Or complaints about lack of recipes)

If you hadn't dismissed them as "nobodies" and "jew bastards" maybe they'd be more inclined to share with you. Right now, not posting the recipe isn't an issue at all, since no one else is really that far along.

I've had two nice experiences with feedback.

The first was in 2002, when I found a 7x very heavily crit weighted self-mana e-wave khopesh in an invasion (lost by a certain Ranger). I kept it and didn't tell anyone I found it. The next day GM-Uska duplicated the weapon, and low and behold, I ran into the duped creature (because no one could kill it who was around). I then had two identical weapons. I gave one back to the Ranger and didn't tell him I had another. Two weeks went by, and my item was mysteriously gone. I reported, and GM-Uska told me he "had" to delete one of them.

I wrote feedback and told them the whole experience, from finding it and not telling anybody, to the finding of the second duped weapon. I included logs, too. Three weeks later I got a reply saying GM-Uska was to give me the weapon back on the condition that I altered it. So, basically, I received a 7x VHC self-mana e-wave weapon for free, and I got it altered.

I doubt he'd "share" any recipie unless there was some profit in it for him ... he's pissed because he couldn't get a jump on cornering a market.

A market in a text-based roleplaying game which has maybe 800 people online at peak hours.

I know what's going on, and I don't think that someone saying No to Tsin is a terrible thing, ESPECIALLY after all the racially offensive things he's said. I just don't get what the hell these threads are trying to accomplish. Showing that Tsin's an asshole? Too late- Tsin's reputation is pretty well known at least on these boards. Maybe it's just a vent, who knows, but either way it seems pointless to me. Sorry if it bugs you for me to say that- but I just don't really see much besides stress relief (perhaps) coming from this.

And yes, I think alchemy is cool but Issi is only RP-wise, a Botanist. Mechanically, she is a rogue. Therefore, I've not yet had a chance to fool around with Alchemy too much except for a little bit on my empath. I guess because Alchemy was such a long-time coming thing is why people are so obsessive/crazy about it (which is understandable, I can hardly explain why I am so into getting custom shit in game) but all of the drama that has come from alchemy just starts to seem like insanity.

Again, I'm sorry if you find that offensive Becca, and you're entitled to your opinion, but nowhere did I seek to justify Tsin's actions or maintain that turning down Tsin is childish (Or that people who like Alchemy are childish). If that's how it came off, it's not how I meant it and hope that it's fixed now. I'm saying however that the way a lot of stuff concerning Alchemy, including this whole Tsin debacle, has been handled, in general, is childish. Sometimes funny (like the fake recipes), but still childish.
