I'm not good with pricing these things and I'm all about giving everyone a chance so I'm going to have a Raffle for my capped Dark-Elf Wizard. Here are all the Stats

It's been forever so I don't know what is all in her lockers and what not but she has 4 and 5x Gear on her and about 7 million and some change in the bank. no enemies and all her friends are dead and gone. I hate to get rid of her but GS isn't the same as it used to be and I don't play her anymore. She's a hell of an Enchanter and can kill any critter in the lands without any problems. I'm going to sell Tickets to this thing for a week at the price of 500k per ticket, 216 tickets are available for purchase(explained later) with a limit of 10 per person(like I said I want to give everyone a chance) the auction will be held on 8pm elven next sunday oct 14th. the way the winner will be picked is I will roll dice and the combination of the numbers that come up(first number only)when the die is rolled three times will be the number of the winner so if I roll three times and get the numbers 3,4 - 2,6 - 6,4 then the winner will be 326 this is why only 216 tickets are available lowest number possible is 111 highest is 666.

I think I got all the combinations of the possible numbers(if I missed one I'm sure someone will tell me) once again PM with what ticket number you want(first come first serve) if you want to purchase a ticket. Any questions about the Raffle or the Character please ask

You screwed something up somewhere...

Is your account/character active?

If not, where are you pulling the stats/skills from?

And are you 100% sure the fixskills is there?

I ask that because your information doesn't quite fit.


And, why are you using dice with 216 tickets? So the tickets can be cheaper?

What dice are you planning on using? Some at home where people can't see the rolls? Or some in game? If in game, how do we know you won't be using trick dice?

(A lot of very successful raffles have been held using the gaming wheel in Beldrins gaming hall. This limits ticket sales to 100 though, if price per ticket was your issue.)

The character isn't Active(waiting until I get some positive feedback)so yes I'm pulling the stats from my old Records, but I think they are accurate and yes I know the fixskills are available. I wanted to give as many people a chance as possible which is why I decided to go the dice way

They are not accurate for whatever reason. Unless I have fallen off my rocker, and didn't realize it.

Your spell training and spell CS don't match up. With the spell training you have listed, wizard CS would be around 531, minor and major would be equal to each other somewhere around 508.

And since your skills in this post are different from the post on gsauctions, I am assuming you used a fixskills, unless you found another - newer log somewhere.

(I am assuming this is the same as the www.gsauctions.com listing, since they are both d-elf females, have the same stats, and both have 6mish in their bank accounts. Both voln masters etc.. IF I am wrong, please correct me.)

But you definitely need to figure out what all the stats and stuff are before you sell or auction something.

I would recommend shelling out the $15 buck to reopen the account. Get everything correct. You can sell the 6m off easily enough to recoup the $15 you spend reopening it.

Then sell all the other silver from the raffle, once its complete. Unless you have another active account, you will need this account open anyways just to accept silvers for the raffle.

Give the fella a chance before accusing him of anything. Even a accusation or suspicion can seriously screw up a sale especially for something this expensive.

- This is unless I mistook the fish picture entirely.

Until he gets these inconsistencies straightened out as well as a different method of drawing the tickets.... the fishy picture stays.

I think the method of drawing makes sense. You allow people to pay 500k, this person makes 108m, which is anywhere from $1080 to $1188 which is eh for a 100 wizard from the seller's p.o.v. To make the same kind of money on the gaming hall system, you'd need to sell them at over 1m a ticket.

Although who knows with the whole "different stats" thing.

The dice thing makes sense in lowering the price on the tickets to make more money. Assuming you can sell over 200 tickets.

But its not feasible to do the dice without someone feeling like they could be cheated. Not unless they have dice of some sort in the gaming hall. But I know there are dice in game which will roll what you whisper to them. And there are other trick items I may not know of.

It just seems reasonable to stick with something that has been done before, and can't be worked around.

I apologize for all the inconsistencies and the method in which I wanted to choose the winner, let me regroup and reactivate my account and get the stats straight and I'll use the Gaming wheel as the method to choose. so give me a week to regroup and I'll be back with this Raffle

You can use two spins on the gaming wheel and add the numbers. 50 and 66 equal ticket 116 etc.

You have a higher probability of winning with the middle numbers then, though. A 2 or a 200 can only be spun two ways, the 100s can be any combination of two spins. It's not fair.

There are progs to rig the AIM chatroom rolls too.

The absolute best way in my opinion is to do this.

Say the total number of tickets are 333

Lets say you want to find out the one hundreth's number. It can be 000, 100,200 or 300. You spin the wheel for each set of possible variables the highest number wins that variable. So lets say you get 10, 57, 21, 98 respectively. Therefore, the hundreth's place is now 300. Do this for the tens place and the ones place. If it's a tie roll again for a tie breaker etc.

Spin wheel once, to see if the second spin is for 1-100 or 101-200. If you spin 1-50 on the first spin, the second spin is what it is, if you spin 51-100 on the first spin, the second spin is +100.

You can then sell 200 tickets, and there is no weird math involved.

But as Allen says... people don't like complications, you need a nice simple way to break up the numbers... if you have to "figure out" who won, it's no good. And there is no reason to do 549 tickets or whatever...

People also don't like expensive tickets... but you're right, 800k isn't so bad, if it was a million it would probably be too much, if she's willing to settle for 80m instead of 100m then yeah I say you've got the right sweetspot.

Everyone seems to like the gambling house wheel for some reason. It makes them feel comfortable and thus tickets go faster.

Further, whats with all this sexism? Females are not difficult to sell!

I get em gussied up in a nice slingshot g-string and have a ball around town.

I think the issue is concern over impartiality. Nothing like handing over 500k and then the seller being like "okay... I rolled a 13, sorry you lost."

It needs to be generated by a trusted third party... hence the gambling wheel.
