None really. I'll have a beer or two when I go out though.

I got heavy drinking out of my system when I in my 20's.

Edit to add: I do get my drink on when I go on a cruise or to special parties and such, just those are rare.

Ok I'm a lightweight so "substantial" is relative. But yeah, I don't drink every day. I don't enjoy the taste of most alcohol. Only the effects (personally and socially).... (and sexually).

I think for most drinkers the options are spot on. Could use some adjustments in hindsight obviously. :( especially the zero/NEVER option. Oh well.

I don't drink at home I only drink when I go out. So basically I drink a few times a week but when I do drink it's usually in significant quantities. Although I more or less only drink beer so I get more full and fat than I do drunk.

I used to steal the wine that was prepped while all the adults were in service still. They could never really keep an eye on all of Sunday school students.

I drink 1 day out of every 7 on average. And thats usually a beer or two if I'm enjoying an import with my neighbor or if I have the itch for some rum.

So you need another option... like 1-2 drinks a week.

For me it would be .14 drinks per day if you averaged it out by the week.

More than I probably should.

I usually have a drink of something every night, just to take the edge off. I try to keep it to a glass of wine or a beer if I have to get up for classes the next day but if my day was particularly fucked up or no class is going the next day and no work, I'll break out the jack.

Right above the 3-7 drinks a week total is a 3+ a DAY option. The last option is actually less (on average) drinks per week than the 1 per day option.

That's why it's such a weird poll.

Plus, the amount of alcohol it takes to get me drunk would cost me a medium-sized fortune if I got drunk daily.

Captain is my main mixer, fairly cheap, and tastes great with any soft drink.

For shots, its Vodka, but that rarely happens anymore.

This thread is starting to make me feel like an alcoholic...... Thank goodness I'm in college and I can use that as an excuse for another month or two ;)

I love 10 year Bacardi.. but anything before is kind of gross. Their flavored rums are disgusting, especially the "light" ones.

Alright so I went to watch the Phillies get their ass kicked at the bar last night. Figured id have a few brews then head home afterward, pretty easy afternoon. I managed to wrack up around a $50 tab on $2 yuengling bottles and a few drinks. I know for sure I had 2 jager bombs and a tangueray and tonic, the rest was beer. This is why I stay in and play GS all day so I dont go out and drop $50 a day at the bar...

Sice I'm in Iraq right now, it is 0. But when I first joined the Marines and before I got married, it was about a case a night, every night. All we would do is get off work and then party, it was like being in a frat only not having any studying to do.

You can sit there and act like your better than my buddies or myself for some reason, but I promise you, that every single day we make harder decisions than you ever have in your life. Let me know when you have to decide which of your friends will lead the charge into a building full of hostiles, or you have to decides which of your bleeding friends to treat first. So I don't give a shit what your job is, the guys I work with may have joined the Marines because they did grow up in a trailer and couldn't afford college or just aren't smart enough to get in, but every fucking one of them deserves a hell of a lot more respect than your giving them.

Usually i finish off only half a bottle a night to keep the costs down. Usually Vodka or Tequila. Sometimes a few 6-packs to throw in some variety. Red Vodka is pretty fun, too. I tend to stay away from the dark liquors, though. Jaeger bombs don't count.

I envy you your ability to keep down tequila.

I can handle almost any other hard alcohol- I take vodka on the rocks, whiskey on the rocks, pretty much anything. Give me any straight tequila though and within a minute I'm tossing my cookies. I have no idea why though, and what sucks is that I actually like the taste of tequila!
