The Grambling State University president is investigating a case in which adults at the university-run elementary school on campus put a noose around at least one child's neck.
In the meantime, president Horace Judson ordered the university's student newspaper to take down a story and photos of the incident from its Web site.
Judson says he plans to meet with everyone involved on Monday.
The article said the children at the school were being taught way nooses are a symbol of racism as part of a lesson about the "Jena Six." That's a group of six black students in Jena facing serious charges for allegedly attacking a white classmate - after nooses were hung from a tree at the school.
The newspaper's Web site also had pictures of at least one young student having a noose tied around his neck.
It's at least the second time this year The Gramblinite has tangled with school administrators. Earlier this year, the school's provost stopped publication - leading to charge of censorship. The paper was suspended for eight days before it resumed publication.
