A Saudi man divorced his wife for watching alone a television programme presented by a male, an act he deemed immoral, the Al Shams newspaper reported on Saturday.

The man, whom the paper did not identify, ended his marriage on the grounds his wife was effectively alone with an unrelated man, which is forbidden under the strict Islamic law enforced in the ultra-conservative kingdom, the paper said.

Men in Saudi Arabia have the authority to divorce their wives without resort to the courts.

That show is pretty awesome, when I found out that some of it was faked I was pretty disappointed.

It doesn't matter, Bear Grylls is one of the most bad ass guys of all time. If you read his biography it is amazing. He climbed Everest 2 years after he broke his back in 4 places during a parachute jump in the SAS, and 4 of his group members died on the climb. He is also the youngest Brit to climb Everest, crossed the Artic on an inflatable boat... the list goes on.

It doesn't matter, Bear Grylls is one of the most bad ass guys of all time. If you read his biography it is amazing. No, I agree he is a total bad ass! I still love watching the show. I just liked to believe that nothing about it was staged. Sort of like Survivor Man. That guy is his own camera man and everything. He just isn't as charismatic as Bear.

What do you mean some of it is faked? To what degree I mean? Like I know he has cameramen with him so he isn't in nearly as much danger as survivorman (but survivorman is such a tool... no one cares about your harmonica).

Anyway the show is still badass, even if you told me it was all done in a studio.
