Just looking for opinions on what a good team is.

Wizard+Bard
Wizard+Empath
Wizard+Cleric
Wizard+Rogue

I figure a wizard is pretty much the best all around utility profession. A bard would be good because they could loresing and purify. They could also put up songs if you wanted to group hunt.

I thought an empath would be useful for healing, fogging and spirit spells. They would also be a pack mule that could move around instantly.

The cleric would have pretty much the same qualities of an empath, with them also being able to raise.

My final thought was a rogue locksmith. I would want a giant archer so they could still hunt well, and that would also allow it to be a traveling bank.

Your thoughts?

My favorite MA hunting duo is my cleric and bard. The group spells work great together.

Second favorite is probably empath and wizard.

For MAing?

A Bard/Wizard and a square that hunts from the open.

The bard, if he can hunt, can haste the square, and can provide better buffs than the wizard. Better off to get a pocked wizard for the spells.

Why limit it to two?

i find a warrior+empath is really usefull, empath to heal the warrior and skin whatever he kills, that way your making more money at the same time

No one can keep up with the no RT of an empath/wizard

I did ranger/cleric and ranger/empath for a while and both worked out very well... major sanct was great for resting in the field.

Empath/Bard is a good team as well, though I realize it doesn't fit into your choices.

Ditto that, my empath has hunted with every profession and had the best results with a bard.

515 + current boneshatter = godly
also 515 + 702 is nice
damnit I wish wizards had a lvl 2 spell that didn't suck... 502... I can also edge like 100 weapons in a few seconds...

Bard/Warrior hands down. My favorite combo to hunt with.

I prefer the wizard/cleric combo myself. Such a large selection of spells, incredible amount of defense there, obviously manuevers are still an issue, but the killing power is amazing.

I'm doing Ranger/Empath right now and it's pretty fun. Works very well.

Most teams are incredibly more powerful than solo play, and anyone who has experience with a given team is probably going to tout it as the way to go. I said I prefer the Wizard/Cleric but that's because that's the team I have. I've played the Wizard/Ranger and rather liked it too (played several other but those two I have the most experience with).

Being able to anticipate your partners moves and being entirely tuned to work with each other makes for very good efficiency, regardless of profession layouts, certainly some are better than others and some are just stupid.

Min Maxing I think you'd be happiest with a wizard as one of the members, haste or rapid fire absolutely own in a partnership, and then choosing the other member based on what you really want to accomplish... do you want to money hunt? do you want to be purely about hunting? Do you like the idea of a melee & magic or pure magic team?

With how the game is now, I think I'd go with Rogue/Empath. My favorite is/was a warrior/wizard. FU + Haste and other helping spells just always made me happy.

Personally I think two pure classes is best just for pure speed. If someone is swinging, or even worse, hiding and swinging, it really slows the hunt down. A sniping Ranger with an e-bow probably the only exception.

Cleric/Wizard is great for the cross-spellup and if the cleric is a bolt cleric, your hunting times will be zilch.

Although I do have to say hasted-Fu is pretty insane.

it is, and damn near as fast. Especially with the wizard knocking down.

just make a quick script on the wizard that 1) refreshs your haste and 2) casts call wind/ewave

trigger it on whispers from the warrior.

mow stuff down, never run out of mana, great defense, mobs constantly disabled.

It's almost a must to have a wizard really, if for nothing else the two disks to put your boxes in :)

Cleric/Empath teams are awesome. Cleric/Sorcerer combo is a very close second.

I think Pure/Square is better than Pure/Pure or Square/Square
