New rogue

Just came into possession of an older rogue. Thinking about turning him into a picker but I want to hunt with him on occassion. I'll triple in picking but I'm thinking about only 2x ing disarm traps, with lock lore spells etc. is this viable for most boxes or no?

Around 250 ranks of disarm with self-cast lores will get you past all standard game-generated traps at this time, since they max out at -480.

Hmm, so 200 ranks with self cast lores.. is a no no?

You'd most likely not be able to get the upper range traps. Depends on stats, enhancers, and conditions. I prefer not to die, so 250 is a safe number with self cast lores.

240-250 on disarm, with lore for OTF boxes....most OTF locks(95%) can be picked with 2.5 in picking and lore...so 2.5'ing each, comes out close to the same any-whoo

220 ranks of picklock with self-cast lore can get 99% of OTF boxes with max stats and no wounds.
