Finally watched this tonight. TiVo rules!
This show will be cancelled by christmas. 100x too intelligent for the general populace to watch it. I thought it was hilarious, reminded me of some of you all.
Last night's episode involved AoC. It was hilarious.

First time I've seen the show, I saw that episode. I thought it was terrible. Not because I didn't get any of the jokes, but because it actually felt like it was dumbed down to try to coddle people who wouldn't get the jokes.

I love the big bang theory and yes it reminds me of me and my friends (to include you all).

It has been dumbed down a lot recently, but Sheldon makes the inner geek (alright, the complete geek) in me revel.

I love this show. I don't think it'll be cancelled since this is it's second season. Of course, lots of good shows get cancelled. Examples... Arrested Development and Carnivale. I loved those two shows.
Loved the gaming addiction one last night.

Well I posted that a year ago, so cut me some slack.
I do agree it has been dumbed down in it's 2nd season. Still a great show, and How I met your mother following it up is a great 1-2.

Doesn't that show have a laugh track?

Both of those are set on my DVR along with 2.5 men.

I think the funniest part of this that one of the protagonists is David, from Rosanne, and the girl he is fawning over is his ex-girlfriend from Roseanne, Becky. (Johnny Galecki and Sara Gilbert). I think this random piece of trivia secures me as king of the geeks.
Also, if you look at the episode list, they all follow the form...
The such-and-such <scientific word>... e.g.
The big bran hypothesis
The fuzzy boots corollary
The porkchop indeterminacy
...
Pretty funny show, but alas, I have little time to pay attention to the TV these days.

Actually everyone knows that. And her name on Roseanne was Darlene. Your standing of King of the Geeks takes a major hit. In fact I dub thee Court Jester.

How I Met Your Mother is one of the most funny shows ever. 90% of it is because of Neil Patrick Harris. The PH stands for Poon Handler (watch Harold and Kumar escape Guantanamo Bay).
I loved the best burger episode where after he takes a bite he says "This burger is so good I want to sew my butthole shut." That show makes me laugh so much.

I am adding "I want to sew my butthole shut" to my list of sayings.

HIMYM is a great show it's one of the few I DVR and actually watch instead of delete. As an architect though I love the "Ted Mosbey, Architect" episode.

I'm not sure how the code officials would feel about the breathing fire part...

Also big bang is fantastic. Sheldon is one of my favorite TV characters at the moment. I don't know why Penny always goes to him for advice.
Walawitz hitting on girls is awkard and amazing.
Watched all of season 1 with my boss. We watched an episode everyday at lunch. Good stuff all around.
Penny..

It was somewhat awkward when Penny didn't answer the question Leonard posed to her near the end though, but I guess funny. It was something like, "If you said I was too smart for you and we wouldn't work out, but you're completely fine with this guy who's 10 times smarter than me, what's that about?"
I suppose it would have left the "comedy" realm for something far more depressing though, if she actually answered it. :P
And I concur, the naked man episode was amazing. I kind of want to do that. After all, it works 2 out of 3 times.

Oh, and Sheldon is awesome. His defense of how Superman cleans his suit was impressive, though his drycleaner's defense at the end was a little cheap.

Did anyone watch last nights episode? I feel like he was playing Gemstone and talking about the Graveyard gate. He was doing the "Go north" "Go west" Go gate" the Iron gate is closed. Then talking about the Troll and kill troll.
It was exaggerated a little bit but I felt like it was GS since he was talking about MUDs and stuff.
Its on my DVR. If I have time, I'll watch it later on tonight.

Do you just hate fun?
I immediately thought of GSIV when he was playing, especially about the gate and "get sword"-"you don't have a sword".
Yes, I do sing 'Soft Kitty' from time to time. Love TBBT.
