Pulled Into a Rift?

Not exactly sure where to put this, but I had this happen to me tonight.

My character was standing in Solhaven's North Market doing nothing at all (I was entering no commands) when she was suddenly pulled into a temporal rift. After walking around for a bit, she exited the rift just outside the pool to get into Darkstone, in the Landing.

I talked to someone who was in the room when she got pulled into the rift, and they didn't see a thing. From looking at my log, I don't see anyone trying to open a box of any sort. This character has taken none of the violet potions, and has never shown any symptoms of the sickness before.

Anyone have any ideas? Regardless of what happened, it freaked my girl out something wrong, which made for a vastly entertaining night. :D

It's been reported that people who never drank the potion, but have been healed by empath's who either drank it or healed someone else who had, have gotten it. (Empath heals person who drank a potion, empath gets sick, empath heals another person, that person gets sick.)

Very much doubt it. She'd been standing there and interacting with people before that, and had given one of them a piece of ambergris to help with the cure. She had been silent for at least maybe 30 seconds before she got pulled.

It maybe sickness related, but she literally had no symptoms before that, so I'd think it'd be rather steep for the first one. The empaths who have healed her either don't have the sickness, or might have it but healed her long enough ago that I think it was before it became contagious. If they infected her, though, I'd have thought it would show up before now because I play her quite often these days.

I didn't mean it spreads in the exact same way as STDs, I simply meant the same manner. As in... you're not really sleeping with one person. You're sleeping with them plus all the people they've slept with... heh was I really that unclear? :P

About 8-9 years ago wasn't there a story line that had rifts opening up all around the landing. I remember one grabbing me out of rats and dumping me on the trail to ice mule. Sucked donkey balls, that it sounds allot like what happened to you.

On another note I can't imagine what a sickness has to do with a rift. not that that has stopped weird ilogical stuff from working in the game before anyway.

That rift event a long time ago was pretty fun. Wasn't that for the opening of the Rift? Lost Souls running around everywhere? nobody could kill them LOL.

I don't remember it having anything at all to do with the rift. The rift shit was all those Vvrael fuckers and Terate.

To add a bit to this, Evelith posted on the officials that she was by the cascade in Solhaven when she was also pulled into a rift with no warning. She ended up in Glatoph outside the Landing.

It fits the Kiramon storyline, actually. The Kiramon had to come here somehow. Maybe their coming to this planet caused some sort of disturbance.

It's plausible, though I'd have thought these might happen closer to the portal where they first arrived. Maybe there are more happening that we just haven't heard about.

Seems like that vortece deal had something to do with CoL. I remember signs not working and random spirit getting drained from people as well.
