I just made "Adept."

W00t, I know, I'm one bad songsmithing mother-watch-yo-mouf'.

How much more until Master? Also, what happens when I master an instrument? Do I become some sort of colossal Pied Piper of giant rat summoning? Kthnx.

Don't recall how much further to master but I thought you just got more and better messaging with higher ranks. Also, I assume this is with a bard you're playing and not the warrior. It used to be non-bards could never reach master, not sure if that changed while I was gone.

Actually, once you're Adept, you've Mastered the instrument. You'll have all the messaging for all styles. I THINK that if you play a Master quality instrument there is another message that goes with the instrument itself.

I want to say Adept is having mastered, too. Master instruments do unlock the next highest set of messaging, for bards and non-bards. Bards who are at Adept playing a master instrument will unlock another set of messaging past what players can get on their own.

With adept, you will have 10 messages per instrument type. When adept and playing a master quality instrument, you get an 11th message.

I have never once seen a master quality instrument. Even on auction sites. Do they even exist? Or do you have to pay the extra 40 to get to EG and have a chance to win the privilege of buying one?

I own one that I won from last year's EG auction, but it is never leaving my hands unless someone offers me a VERY good deal.
