Hello!

I was a very prominent member of the GS III community with a Legend and several Lady characters. I quit when IV came to be... I was at a time in my life that I just didn't have the time to study the new stuff and go through the whole reroll and reallocating of everything.

Now I am feeling nostalgic and thinking about starting fresh with a new account and new character.

I'm wondering if any of my old partners in crime are still around. Does anyone remember me here?

Lady Lascivia
Lady Devience
Lady Arali
(All of House Brigatta)

It has been a very, very long time....

There's been a majority of people who're not happy with the current state of GS , who've been absent for along time before they came back.
You should probably try it, but don't get your hopes up. It's easier to remember it being much better than it really, actually is.
Besides join WoW. Get with the times innit.

My daughter is big into WoW and has been trying to get me to join that... but I just really liked the text-based aspect of GS. Hmmmmm

I remember Lascivia. :)

GS is what you make of it. I came back after a 7 year hiatus and am having plenty of fun.

I think I'll take a few days to read through all the new player manuals and then give it a go.

I actually enjoy rat hunting... oj oj oj

Maybe, um, return with a standard account and reactivate one or two characters, see how that goes, and at the end of the billing cycle decide whether or not you wish to continue the GemStone tradition, jah?

People who use their nickname from the game and who talk shit about that game to cover up that they worked in it for free, crack me up.

"This is PB, I'm not old! I play WoW like all the cool people do!"

It is a fun game, but might be a bit daunting to leap back into depending on how long you were gone. See if you cannot find someone to help explain some of the changes/modern mechanics. Then, I would suggest joining a PRO/CHE to make some new friends in game so you dont feel so isolated. Good ones are Circle of the Grey Moon (For you Lornonites), and The Nothern Fury.

Err. You're in Brigatta. No idea how active they are, but after brushing up you could push to become an officer. That should help keep you in the loop.

Tried both Guild Wars and WoW but ended up coming back to Gemstone. I loved the graphics of the games but it doesn't have the "meat" gemstone does. In gemstone you have a larger selection on appearance, abilities, weapons and such. The roleplaying isn't spectacular but it's a whole heck of alot better than both GW and WOW.

"hi, you need tank?"

Despite a few things I don't like, I think overall GS has improved as a game. It's the only game for me that I have never lost interest in, because the game is what I make of it.

Guild Wars stinks, imho. Although i'm more of a PvE fan, to tell the truth. I played for about 6 months but once I capped all my girls, and had them in the armor I wanted them in, and I was running around with a bank and toons full of gold and greens, that was it, nothing left to do. I have to hear about that stupid game day in and day out though because my fiance has been playing it since beta testing. My eyes are slowly crossing inward from the pain.

Brigatta is still active. They have a yahoo group that you can join and catch up with people on. There's people on the list who no longer play but still keep in touch.

Ahhh the Farmer.... You were one of my favorite folks to watch in action... even when it was me you were legging ;)

I was an officer in Brigatta. Wonder if I can find Luky. My main worry is getting used to all the changes. I want to make a totally new character and start from scratch.

So apparently he spent vast amounts of time playing and hosting GS. Jesus, no wonder he's such an angry, bitter prick.

Honestly, the Adventurer's Guild was probably one of the single best implementations to the game ever.

Sure, more tedious tasks outside of the guilds...kudos.

Cockbreath will do that to you. It helps not having the angry bitter prick in your oral cavity for starters.

G'luck.

I guess you would know. I imagine you've sucked plenty for your next 'fix'. Drugs make people do strange things.

Good luck with your next 'job'.
