So, here is something for everyone not to do:
I removed the right arm of an ice giant so it would drop it's "massive icicle" which is a 90-some pound club. I picked up the icicle, as they don't melt until the thing dies (or disappears, as I later found out), ran back into town and put it in my shop just for kicks. Then I came back later after checking playershops to place a new item. I usually just check the page to see if my item count has dropped to 24 so I know a slot is open. But when I got there I couldn't add anything to the inventory, I tried pulling and replacing, pulling redundant items and things to see if something weird had changed but it looked like I could only get 24 items in my shop. Then I realized that the icicle was no longer there and my balance hadn't increased any. So, I assisted, got a referral, got it taken care of, and the GM said that I was probably right in assuming that the icicle melted but didn't vacate the slot in my shop.
For anyone that feels the need to reduce the number of available item slots in their shop for some odd reason, this would be the way to do it. Maybe you want to spite whoever you're transferring the deed to, I don't know. In general though, this is clearly not a constructive thing to do.
