Nottingham Forest played Leicester City in the cup in August, but the game had to be abandoned at half time due to one of the Leicester defenders collapsing from a heart attack. At the time, Nottingham Forest were winning 1-0.

The game was replayed tonight, and Leicester allowed Forest to score in the first minute to re-establish the lead they had in the first game.

Both teams scored again throughout the game to leave it 2-1 to Forest up until the 87th minute, when Leicester scored twice to win the game 3-2.

Pretty awesome sportsmanship, and in a game where money talks, it's so nice to see that some people havent forgotten the point of why they play.

I was hoping this thread was about the Eagles' 0-2 start.

It's made more fun of then backlash's penis. The only sport that gets made more fun of is American Woman's Soccer. In fact it's really hard to go a single day without hearing a crack on soccer or making one.. and I'm serious.

That being said I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy euro soccer and have so for years.

I wonder why they didn't just pick it up at the 2nd half? more tv revenue?

No, the laws of the game state that if a game has to be abandoned after a certain point in the game (I can never remember it but its around 60 or 70 minutes), the result of the game at that point stands. If the game has not yet reached that point, the whole game must be replayed.

For gambling purposes maybe? I know gambling is legal and big over there.

Just reminded me about the UNLV game a few years back when the power to the stadium went out at the last possible point.. hehehe. Coincidence??? I think not.

There were a bunch of suspicious floodlight failings a few years back.

My team was playing and losing in a cup game to a team they should have beaten, then they scored twice in about ten minutes and as they were celebrating the second goal, the floodlights went.

Game had to be abandoned. Turned out it was sabotage by some chinese betting syndicate. Little fuckers.

There used to be, not sure if it was part of the game or just something that people used to do, but they stopped it because if the 13 rating, I guess.

Yeah I remember the crack down on people doing their own gambling games/spam.

I think they only cracked down on that because of the constant spam.. in a game where you violently and graphically kill other people and drink vendor bought alcohol to obtain drunk effect.

The only sport that gets made more fun of is American Woman's Soccer.

Sort of like when Mia Hamm was in every single Gatorade & Mountain Dew commercial when we actually advanced in a sport we normally set our bar at "teh suck."

Friggin' Boston Nation syndrome.

Disclaimer: Any timed sport pales in comparison to the greatest American passtime.
