Snow makes temperatures less cold, snow is good looking, snow makes your street less dark and finaly snow makes human being more warmer with their loved one.
Snow rocks

What's so pretty about salt laden slush that idiots can't seem to figure out makes the roads slippery?
Snow means one thing....and that is that it's friggin cold.

I'd rather have a foot of snow than these freaking ice storms I get here. At least you can drive on snow.

Ilvane, wasn't that snow NUTS?! I worked overnight last night...so like a little after 6, I look outside the window (cause the radio was saying white-out conditions up in Fitchburg) and it was pretty clear. I go to get myself ready to head home..turn back around out the window...it looked like a BLIZZARD out there. About 10 minutes later it was all over and the sun was out. HOWEVER I left work at 7:00am, it's currently 9:29am and I've only been home for 5 minutes now. So yeah, almost 2 and a half hours trying to get home... Accidents EVERYWHERE. I love the snow, but I sure hate driving in it.

There was like 2 feet of hale/snow/mush in Watts about a week ago. There was a freak rainstorm and L.A. was flooded with about 4 feet of rain in maybe 2 hours if that. I think a cloud died that night. :( Thank God I live by the beach...heh. Still really really odd to see snow in downtown L.A.

I hate going outside to smoke at work and coming in and having dudes stare at my nipples because they're hard enough to cut glass. That's what I hate about winter.
Snow is only good if you have someone with you to share it with. :/

That's on my 10 ten list of things I love about winter.
I spent a few years in Alaska as a child, and there is no way I would choose up-state NY over Alaska anywhere.

I want to move to Alaska to have a team of sled dogs pulling me to work....wait, what the hell am I talking about!!! That would mean I'd have to GO to work. Nah, I'll stay here in the south where they raid Walmart when a flake of snow hits the ground.

We got snow today...1/8th of an inch of it. and under that, 1/8th of an inch of pure New Jersey grade black ice.
I was taking a morning run, and not only did I get hit by a car(not one going fast, thankfully), but I had to help three idiots in SUVs get out of ditches.
Okay, I lied to try to impress you.
It was 2 SUVS and a minivan.

My old Sentra did pretty good in the snow. I'm not sure how my new Spec-V will do, Z-rated tires aren't very good in the snow I'm told.
I might be looking for another cheap VW bug soon (old style). My dad and I used to go out in the snow and TRY to get stuck in the snow.

I didn't run in the winter. It's not winter until it snows. And it didn't snow until I was just walking in the door. It was all ice beforehand. It began as rain and ended in my fucking busted ass foot.
Now if my foot feels okay tonight, THEN i'll be running in the winter.

::waits for Akman to give his two cents about living in Alaska::
There was a small bit of snow on the ground when I headed to work this morning. Everyone was driving really slow and it took me 15 minutes rather than 10 to get to work. ::ducks::
The sun came out and now there's no sign of snow on the ground that I can see. I actually like the snow. I just don't like driving in it. Not really for me driving, but for the other boobs who don't know how to and screw it up for the rest of us.

It was great today. The snow made half of our teachers come in late today so we got some free periods. I love snow, too bad most of it melted before we got out of school. But I do have to say it is FREEZING cold....

So I woke up this morning to...

We got snow last night, about 2-3 inches (hurray!) and we're supposed to get more tonight and tomorrow!
There's alot more snow in Fairfax (my city) then when you get closer to DC. And my Z-rated tires *do* suck in the snow, but it's fun to pound the gas and watch em spin.

Z rated tires suck when it sprinkles. They are rated for speed and handling on dry hot pavement. This is the reason I put all season tires on during spring and fall, snow tires on in the winter, and tear up the streets with Zs in the summer.
But... WE GOT SNOW!!!! Last night at work it started coming down hard. I had to nearly shovel my car out of its parking spot.
I indiscriminately ambushed people with snowballs as they were coming in or leaving. I even pegged the plant manager on his shiny bald head.
I'm awaiting my pink slip.

Well that was just nasty. My drive home which is usually 10 minutes was nearly 40. Then again, my apartment is on a hill and everyone was lined up it, so I turned and parked in the parking lot at the foot of it and walked my way home. One guy even skidded backwards and landed into me. Good thing it wasn't that hard and he just pushed me back slightly. My POS was fine and didn't even dent. Thank you Buick!

Also, not to be the harbinger of bad news or anything :saint: ...but I was looking at the forecast...they're predicting rain sometime this week (I think Thursday) but the weatherman said if the temp drops it will be another snow event....*stare*

There's half a foot of snow on my back porch. My back porch! Which is covered! That's been blown in! I can't open my sliding glass door without it pouring in. <whines> There's about 3 or so inches on the banister. The banister! A couple of inches on the BUSH next to my bedroom window. I'm like.. amazed.. right now. Yes I'm used to the snow but damn it's just mind boggling how it was in the 40's less than a week ago and now it's white all over the place.
