Say you've just started a fresh character, which path lets you level in the least amount of time?

Adventure guilding (you have reasonable foraging/skinning skills) - adventure guild, stack as much EXP as possible go to node.

Straight out hunting/resting in node.

The issue with this question is that there is no reason to NOT check in with the guild every 15 minutes. If you just keep checking the guild eventually one of the bounties will either be where you are hunting already or collect gems you have or something along those lines.

If you spend your time only doing what the guild says, it'll slow you tremendously (some nearly impossible tasks) and early on when there is such diversity in critters and tasks you can get you will have to abandon a lot of tasks, as your hunting ground choices diminish the usefulness of the guild will increase.

So hunt as you would normally, and while resting get a task, if it's crap, drop it. But if you happen to be fighting hill trolls for exp, and you get a task for kill 13 hill trolls... why the hell would you turn down a free 800 exp?

fletching is also great for easy exp

Also if you know your Gift of Lumnis is coming up finish a bounty task but dont hand it in until you are fried and your gift started, then just sit at a node and absorb. Easy way to make full use of the saturated mind and XXX.

fletching was a good suggestion. also while you are venturing up tell 10th turning in iron/cloth etc around town gives great returns, as well as delivery tasks for the hall.

bounty tasks are near impossible tell title. By all means check in whenever you are near the adv. guild. For me getting monsters 4-5 trains older then me at any train up until 14th level+ was near impossible.

Adv. guild is great if you get a decent task for your profession/train, I woudn't depend on it to heavily though, the levels under ten go really fast, especially with 3x.

I started a new character. It's the first time I've done adventurer guild tasks at such a low level. At level 4, I can accept almost all tasks (haven't been tasked with an escort yet - which I wouldn't be able to do) without worrying if I can handle it or not. I get fried while I do the task, then I come back and saturate like hell. Out of one of these saturated w/ 3x-xp, I leveled from just into three to a bit into four without moving a muscle off a node.

Low level tasks are INSANE.

I don't see the AG as being an advancement tool at lower levels.....hell at cap it was something to keep my attention. Hunting is always going to be the fastest way to train a character.......if you're a square. Hunt hunt...turn in bounty.......hunt hunt.

I think they would work well if you are the right build, or you had someone helping you complete the tasks. You can always tweak the difficulty to put the odds in your favor that you can complete the monster tasks for a slight loss of EXP/BPs.

I think running into town after a deep fry and handing in a 1k bounty is pretty significant at the beginning kick of a Lumnis cycle.

At that point, you have the option to fine tune your AG task a couple times as the clock ticks down in case you get a crappy task.

Seriously though; hunting, in combination with AG tasks, for the text-based win, mizza-maing'.

I wonder how long it would take to level somebody from 0 to 100 if they turned off the mind all together (just have any xp you get go right into your numbers).

What is ridiculously sad about this, is at 7.5 million exp to cap, that's only 75,000 like level kills. Assuming a relatively conservative rate of 1 kill a minute, you're looking at 52 strait days (or 156 8 hour days).

Of course we all know that 1 kill a minute is extremely conservative for a power hunter, and I think you could expect something like 4 times that rate.

It also depends on the profession. I had a warrior that could handle anything the guild threw at her. She was tackling 4 trains above her at her 2nd train with just blurs and guards. On the other hand i had a train 1 wizard that got sent after an ancient lesser mummy for his first task. He didn't have a chance if they were stunned, bound, webbed, and lying on the ground.

Fletching from train 1 should get you to at least train 7, and that's not stopping to rest when you fry from it.

Uh... do not continue to fletch when you're fried, you will waste the exp (Keep track of your rank and how big your bucket is so you don't waste any) and I REALLY wouldn't fletch that early... the early levels are so easy, wait until you hit a slump to fletch.

I wonder, if you're over 50 levels, how many levels you can get with just fletching from beginning to master.

It's a set amount of EXP...I think 125,250 exp... so you're looking at about a level and a half or so.

125,250 exp is correct, precisely 1.42 levels from level 50.

Celephais is correct.
