BIBLE THUMPERS REJOICE!
"Kathy Griffin's offensive remarks will not be part of the E! telecast on Saturday night," the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences said in a statement Monday.
In her speech, Griffin said that "a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus."

Yeah, they censored the part in that article where she said, "Suck it Jesus." It was a stupid remark by a no-talent, annoying idiot to get press. The ultimate attention whore move. But, it's all ok because she was talking shit about Christianity. If she'd said "Suck it, Allah", there'd have been riots.

Eh. It is being censored.
It is now because some people threw a fit. I bet she didn't plan on going up to get censored. And even if she did, she's got the press over it already.

There's a difference between constructively criticizing a religion or a practice and saying "Suck it Jesus."

I see you're still the board poster boy for brainwashed Catholic.

Hell, I agree. Suck it Jesus.
All the other idiots are mocked, why not the religious ones?

I didn't say it should be censored, genius.
Also, it was censored for business reasons. I remember what country we live in, and that sounds like the American way.

Stereotypes aside, Brits don't consistantly ignore fact. I should have saved that "Creationist Method" and "Scientist Method" picture.

Please what? Please accept your apology for being a retard and not understanding a simple sentence? I didn't say it should be censored and I'm not at all offended by it.
Me - "Nieneque, that isn't 'good' because it isn't constructive at all."
You - "LOOK WHAT COUNTRY WE LIVE IN YOU IDOIT!"

You've been butt hurt over catholic blasts more than anyone else I can remember here on the boards.

"There's a difference between constructively criticizing a religion or a practice and saying "Suck it Jesus."
Translation. You support the decision to censor whilst admonishing the phrase "Suck it Jesus".

I'd rather censor a remark, however right or wrong it may be, than face a boycott, too.
Or is that wrong?

That's obviously false. Latrinsorm posts here.
I also am never butt hurt, I may disagree with something someone is saying but I have never gotten legitimately angry over anything on the topic and I challenge you to find out specifically where I have.

I don't support censoring things in America. You only got that translation because you wanted to argue with someone.

I got that translation because you spelled it out pal. My last post made it clear.. I'm too lazy to search up the other times you dropped your vagina when I made fun of Catholics but doesn't change the fact that it occurred.
Oh and Latrin doesn't typically get butt hurt over Catholicism. Strike 3 you're out like a brown trout.

I didn't even respond to your post you idiot. I read this thread and didn't say anything initially. I disagree with Nieneque. I don't think saying 'Suck it <insert diety>' is good. It has nothing to do with Catholicism. You're just a dumbass with a hard on for internet arguments.

Uhm ok. The catholic part was just a reminder about how butt hurt you get over that shit ass sect.
I was taking it at face value. That of a brainwashed CHRISTIAN defending the censorship of "suck it jesus".
Just stop replying.. no need to dig your hole to hell deeper. That is if you believe in hell.

If it was really censorship, they would have taken out anything she had to say about Jesus entirely. Taking out the more offensive of it is not that big of a deal, especially for something that's probably going to be aired on prime time television.

I love how you tell me to stop replying when I never even addressed you originally and I have not changed what I said.
I don't agree with censoring this. I realize it's a business decision from the TV station, though.
If I felt otherwise I'd say it. You have made it clear that I have had no problem expressing my opinion over 'that shit ass sect' in the past, why would I be afraid to do it now? It has absolutely nothing to do with with my religion or Christianity in general. I just don't agree that nonconstructive criticism is 'good'.

Let's assume Hulkein is a Catholic Christian for a second.
Let's assume somebody makes derogatory remarks about his religious practice.
And then let's assume that by some unimaginable stretch of imagination, he would find it to be offensive.
What the fuck is with hounding someone's religious beliefs because of what K. fucking Griffin spelled out her yap?

She said it can 'only be a good thing' to criticize a religion.
I don't think that's true. It is good to constructively criticize a religion (IE: The Catholic Church's stance on contraceptives is more harmful than it is good, etc), but saying "Suck it Jesus" is not what I would call constructive and serves no positive purpose.
That's what it means. It isn't a thumbs up for cutting out Griffin's comments, it was just a reply to what Nien said.

I don't know if anyone ever watched her show on Bravo "My life on the D-list" but this sounds so much like something she would say that I'm surprised anyone is surprised.
She must be eating up the attention though since it will fuel her comedy act for a long time.
