rogue race?

Hey guys, I made a halfling rogue when I started cause they got the best bonus to archery attack, but I cant seem to shoot bows very fast at all.

Cman surge isnt helping because I am still young...


So should I choose a stronger race to shoot faster? Or stay with the higher attack?

and someone was trying to teach me about a council the other day, and mentioned another thing just like it voln, but they didnt know much about voln

is one better than the other for a bow using rogue?

Giants and HK work pretty good for archery shooting. Society wise, Voln used to be the suggested way to go for archers using brawling and an open hand...but COL certainly has its benefits.

Brawling would be used for the attacks that Voln bestows on your character.

Surge helps with RT when you've fired your arrow so it's definately something you should keep up with. I don't know the exact bonuses Voln gives for strengths within archery, but I do know that the Council Of Light gives excellent DS and being a halfling you might be able to keep the spirit up per hunt that Sign Of Shields will give.

I don't know enough about Halflings to say anymore though. But good luck.

What is your RT when you're aiming and when you're not? What kind of bow are you using?

You don't NEED brawling...it's just a second attack that can hit puncture immunes that doesn't require you disarming yourself or screwing your defense.

For starts if your looking to pick a race based on stats and not for roleplay Halfling probably isnt the preferred method for your setup.

A stronger race that can fire the bow's faster is goin to be a better goal for you since your already getting the bolt AS in the first place.

As far as society again if your not aiming for roleplay CoL is going to give you more boost to your attack and defense than Voln would.

I had a short bow I got for free to start with. Guy said I should upgrade though, so I went and bought this and a longbow from the archery guy. The longbow was even slower though.

This is after the guy told me how to redo my stats and train right, I wish I could recall his name. I haven't seen him since last week though.

But I got rid of cmans and lost surge cause it wasnt doing much anyways.

I think I had some climbing and swimming, but I was told I didn't need them yet.

Anyhow I was just wondering if I should swap to a giant or something to fire faster. If it was worth it. So far from what I have read, it seems like I might look into it more.

If you're looking for a character with no obvious flaws, make a sylvan. You get a +10 dexterity bonus, which is more AS, but the discipline penalty won't help the hell that is stunmanuevers.


Unless you have a death wish, don't steal until at least title. Even with perfect conditions, it's not much fun till then.

Even at title, only steal in crowded areas and don't steal from rogues or rangers. The occasional warrior will train in perception as well.

Also, might want to just use a 2he in rats or something. Not worth the effort to use archery at such a low level.

Log out and back in, it will disappear. It happens whenever you reroll a character in the character manager but keep the same name. It has something to do with the login key I would imagine.
