Taking disarmed weapons - savvy or no?

Today some twit annoyed my friend and I. My friend gave him flees. I took the booty, and held onto it for awhile.

5 mins later:

You can take the weapon in a CvC conflict, I've done it before. You just can't keep it. Maybe even taking it at all is a no-no, but I've never had any problem disarming and taking the weapon as long as I promptly returned it (usually via the hurl mechanic).

Second, You are wrong. According to others HERE, and the GM's in game. It is NOT fair game to take a weapon you disarmed and then leave with it.


And lastly, the answer to YOUR question is the GM's would simply get check the logs, and give the item back to the player from the well. They can do this.

Cronuss acts like this was done without provocation and has a hissy fit. They then come back and begin fucking with the ranger's wolf. Ranger casts Nature's Fury or something and failes miserably at trying to kill them. Foogly kills Kyrandos instead (violating policy, but oh well)

Then Foogly is out hunting in the Shadow Valley when Cronuss tracks him down, and kills him for killing Kyrandos. The bitches him about about how he shouldn't be killing people that didn't do anything to him. Oh, the irony. This discussion continues past Foogly getting raised and back to the Town Well, where this all started.

As Foogly is trying to explain the irony of the situation to Cronuss, a rogue name Guwain killes Cronuss for killing Foogly. Now the irony is three layers deep! Guwain understands the irony though, and attempts to explain it to Cronuss who is still clueless about why he is dead yet again, and is still pretending like what he did wasn't wrong either.

After Cronuss is rezzed the next time, he and Kyrandos come back AGAIN. This time Cronuss itchy curses Foogly, and Kyrandos picks up his weapon, and they both flee the scene.
