Ok, umm, has anyone tried this stuff yet? Is it utter crap?

This stuff is such a bad idea....

I bought some yesterday and drank most of the 2 liter bottle already casually. My first sip was not a pleasant one, but I got used to the flavor pretty quickly and I like it by now. It's not what you'd expect from Mountain Dew and I'm sure a ton of people would absolutely hate it. I think it's citrus cherry or something? Definitely a unique taste.

my 14 year old daughter says it tastes like liquid gummy worms. She loves it, I think it's gross.

gotta love a product that has absolutely no health benefits directed at gamers who are notorious for having less than active lifestyles.

fyi some games that gamers play actually require being active. Remember games like football, baseball, etc...

Halo 3 promos tend to have nothing to do with sports.

Yeah so get amped up on 15 teaspoons of sugar per serving to fuel your GAME!

It has no Yellow 5 and, therefore, you shall be rewarded with nothing but the most overly functional Mountain Dew scrotum sugar.

Seriously, what is this stuff?

I just google searched this and something for Halo 3 appeared. Co-sponsored. I'm not really sure why, but if I had to take a guess, I'd say that The Master Chief obviously drinks lots of soda.

I've enjoyed the new Diet Pepsi Max... more caffiene is good, and calorie free is even better! I'm going to give you full credit for that Peam, thanks for making the soda.

I like the concept of Diet Pepsi Max too, but it's going to flop.

I bought a 20-pack the other day, just for the hell of it.

It tastes like soap.

I love it personally, it's great and has 8 grams more caffiene per 8 ounces.

Regular mountain dew has 36mg/8 oz caffeine. Gamefuel has 48/8 oz. They both have the same amount of sugar (31g/8oz).

A regular 8oz cup of drip coffee has 104-192mg caffeine.

So it's mostly just hype/different flavoring, not exactly some kind of massive caffeine/energy boost.

I bought a 20 oz bottle today and took one sip and thought, "WTF are those people saying in that thread that this is good!"

If anyone wants to pay for shipping, I'll send you the three 2 liter bottles I got with it...

If I assume correctly... You bought a 20 oz, and got two 3-liters for free?

Thats some crazy advertising.

<<So it's mostly just hype/different flavoring, not exactly some kind of massive caffeine/energy boost.>>

I can drink a 2 liter bottle of soda in a couple minutes at a gaming session, and can continue doing so throughout the night. If you can do that shit with coffee, you must not be me.

I also have 100 mg caffeine/oz syrup, but it's not like I drink 8 oz of it because it's super caffeinated.

After drinking more of this stuff, I've decided it has one of the worst aftertastes of any soda I've ever had.

Mostly depends if you use the syrup/how much. If it's just a plain 2 liter bottle, that's ~67 fluid ounces. At 8 ounces per cup, that's around 8.3 cups of coffee. Coffee is 3 times or so as much caffeine, so that's less than three cups of coffee being about the same amount of caffeine as the 2liter bottle of soda. Fine with me, and I won't have to piss as much.

The syrup of course would change everything, but I guess you could technically put that stuff in the coffee too. Yum.

well, can't argue with the fact that some people like it, and some people don't. big surprise there?

GD I love soda. Especially fountain soda.

Too bad 7-11 doesn't have a profit sharing program.

No, I bought a 20 oz'er to drink it on my way home, but also bought three 2 liters because they were on sale ($.99/per).

It reminds me of really really sweet kids toothpaste.
