View Full Version : Help with Sorcerer Guild & Spell 740?

My husband is going nuts at the Sorcerers Guild! He is trying to bond himself with the book for Planar Shifting. He is standing in the Summoning Room but does not see the latticed yellow crystal. He is in the Landing. Is there more then one summoning room in the guild in Landing? What the heck is he doing wrong? Any help would be welcome!

There is only one Summoning Chamber in the Landing. Go west from Aerenis, climb ramp, go overhang, go door, and you're there. Then hole the tome in your right hand and rub the crystal.

this is what he sees in the summoning chamber in landing:

Total darkness engulfs this deathly cold room, yet the air feels charged with electricity. At random intervals blue electricity crawls from the four walls to meet in the floor's center before disappearing. In those moments the room is eerily illuminated, presenting obsidian surfaces polished to a mirror-like finish and with no apparent seams. The constant magnified thump of a slow heartbeat is the chamber's only sound.
Obvious exits: none

This is what all the web pages I have found say he should see :

Incarnadine sigils wrap around the circular chamber in a tight embrace, their luminescent surfaces casting a bloody light throughout the surroundings as they hum and pulse with power. A triple-band of the angular sigils forms a tight circle in the middle of the floor, the designs there casting a steady pale violet glow as the rest of the room is intermittently cast in darkness by the wavering symbols around you. You also see a latticed yellow crystal.
