View Full Version : benefits of CMAN's to AS/DS?

Does anyone know the raw benefits to AS/DS from generic training in CMAN's? The description says it gives AS in offensive and DS in defensive, but it doesn't provide any kind of numbers that I could see. Is it a bonus only depending on your stance, or a percentage or based on whether you are 1x or 2x per level?

It's a percentage of your bonus based on stance. The more defensive you are, the more the skill goes into DS. The less defensive, the more it goes to AS. Exact numbers I don't remember off the top of my head. Someone smarter can post it.

if I remember right, it's 1 AS/DS per 2 ranks no? 1 AS in off per 2 ranks, and 1 DS in Def per 2 ranks.

I believe it to be the way Trinitis said. But I'm hoping Latrinsorm will chime in with a view or explanation since i'd like to know exactly too.

It's on play.net somewhere but it's effort to find it.

That's how I remember it, too.

CM gives 1AS per 2 trains. It doesn't give any DS when you parry down, it used to, but no more.

Good enough for me. Drew knows his shiz and Krakii gives me the creeps.

It's a percentage of your bonus based on stance.I'm almost completely sure this is also correct.

Yep, they put the defensive aspect of the skill into Dodge, where training in it yields DS dependent on stance.

Thanks and I agree to a degree. I help edit on KP but it's definitely not ready to go gold yet. I'd say it's beta 0.4 right now. We have all the basic articles needed in general right now, once those get fleshed out I think it will be a great resource. We could use some more editors. The account registration process is far too onerous. I had plenty of edits I saw worth making but I didn't even sign up for maybe 6 months because of it, they lost at least 6 months of edits from me, I can't imagine the amount they've lost from other people.

I'll help edit for anything regarding sorcerors and bow use (legendary items, AS, DS etc etc..)
If you still need them obviously.

Speaking of wikipedia, I'd like to join up and upload some stuff, but couldn't figure out how from the main page. How is that done?

I think there's a link on the left hand side of the page with an "upload" link that basically walks you through it. It's in the 3rd box down, after you choose which language, of course.

Yeah, good stuff. I maintain an article on the site, and update stuff when I see it needs it.

It's starting to creep me out less.

It's starting to creep me out less.

Is that because of the drinks? or in general? ;)

Ok, I got to the part where it says to log in, and then when I put in the name I'd like it says "it doesn't exist, blah blah blah, Check your spelling or create a new account"..... but there's no thing to make a new account? :\

As a follow up to the original post, does anyone know why my ranger's AS increases due to CMANs only on odd ranks (i.e., AS increased by one at 49 ranks instead of 48 or 50) when the formula appears to be ranks/2?

i signed up for an account on Krakii just to edit creature drops/skins/locations/strategies...but never got final editing approval...which is unfortunate. I was looking forward to contributing some info on it.

Thanks for the info on CMan's eveyone.

That Final editing approval, who says yeah or no?
I haven't looked.
This forum is better when you need some proper advice / proof.
I'll always ask here instead of check Krakii.
