CHANGES TO ENHANCEMENT RECHARGING AND ADVENTURER'S GUILD

TO: All Treasure Masters

CC: Guild Headmasters

RE: Stimulating Business

We have good news and bad news. Bad news first.

As you know, this quarter's figures are off sharply, mostly due to a certain Guild principal's decision to "invest" half of our operational budget in Dragon Bones. Until her estates can be sold and the treasury remunerated, we are going to experiment with the elasticity of the incentive program. The desired effect is to fill more contracts in the near-term. Since the enhancive recharging service has the highest margin, we're going to start there.

Related to that, our bid to have proprietary control over the secrets of enhancive recharging was successful! This is thanks to the recovery and delivery of the last of the legendary Burkoi Rubies to our favorite Customers. Once again our association with them proves mutually beneficial. Kudos to our Adventurers involved in that effort.

SO, TO SUMMARIZE: Effective immediately, and lasting indefinitely, the bounty point cost to recharge our enhancive badges will be reduced by 20%. All other enhancive objects will have their costs reduced by 40%, since we've always made those so much more expensive to recharge. Also, all recharging of enhancive items will henceforth be available only through the Adventurer's Guild.

I'm looking forward to seeing next month's numbers from you all.

CFO

Enjoy.

Well, sucks that there are no more recharging merchants, but this change was fought tooth and nail. The result was this, a reduction in costs for charging badges, and enhancives.

Nice change. Glad to see it finally happen.

Personally, I'm happy about it.

I've never gone to a merchant event; chances that I'd get something recharged outside of the guild is effectively zero.

Now.. if they just tell us the AMOUNT of charges they put in.. it'd be set.

When we don't have any clue as to when a charge is expended, knowing the number doesn't help so much.

But yes, this bothers me too.

Now to argue to have the alchemist do a check for remaining charges.

>remove leathers
You take off some leathers.

>give alchemist
You give your leathers to the alchemist your leathers. Quickly stepping over to his workbench he rummages around for the porion he is looking for picks it up and pours a bit on your leathers. Chanting quietly to himself he concentrates on the leathers. Turning back to you and returning your leathers he says, "Your leathers have a great amount of logic enhancement remaining. Would you like to charge them?"

A passing rough thought.

Better yet, find a way to NOTIFY us when a charge is lost....

Example -
"Kontii's badge looks slightly dimmer"

I have heard it is best to remove the badge when you don't need it to preserve the charge(s), and to keep it on all the time to do the same (The thought being each time it is worn/removed a roll is made to check if it is depleted). Which is it?

A GM has stated you're much better off removing it when you don't need it.

Yes, remove the badge if you are conserving charges (e.g. remove badge when staying logged in all night for skill migration).

I believe it was Ildran who said it?
