I've whined about my job for a long time to my friends, and I got the news I was hoping to get today.
I got a job offer from Harvard University working in the Health Services Department there. Thankfully, out of working the evil HMO's and on to a better, and more challenging job.
Benefits are great, and I can go to school for 40 dollars a class. That benefit alone makes it worth it.:)
Just thought I'd share, it was seriously good news today!

I'm having trouble believing you're qualified to attend Havard.
No offense.

Leave it to Harvard to have an open enrollment school...

It seems like a pretty offensive comment to me. Why bother with the "no offense?"

It seems perfectly reasonable that a school would offer open enrollment to their faculty. To me, it would undermine the entire principals educational facilities ran on if they didnt offer further education for the employees. Also note, she will be attending the extension school (still probably better than 75% of universities), and not Harvard's normal undergraduate or graduate program.
Also Seany boy, how much do you really know of Ilvane's education?
Prime example...I'm MORE than qualified to attend Harvard, yet I imagine no one on these boards would know it. However, I'm sure everyone appreciates a daily dose of your run of the mill, malicious comments.
No offense.
P.S.
I envy you.

Thanks, hon.
I tend to ignore the idiots who troll insessantly on the boards, anyway.
I have a higher level of education, yes. Could I afford to do my masters degree at Harvard(Extension School or not), absolutely not. I'm feeling very blessed and lucky right now that I'll be able to do this.
I started a program in Organizational Psychology in 2001 before my father passed away, but then he got sick, and money issues ensued, so it all got put on the back-burner. I used to work for Harvard Medical School before I started to work for the Insurance company, and I was always encouraged by my boss there to keep going to school so I could do something more challenging than just administrative work.
My current job offerred reimbursement for classes up to 5000 a year, but you had to come up with the money first to do that, since it was reimbursement. In this case, at Harvard, you fill out a form(voucher), sign up for the class, and you are done.
Pretty amazing benefit. I'm already looking at January's schedule to see what they have for classes, so I can start as soon as possible.
So, yes, I am beyond excited.

I forget that you consider someone posting an opinion that you don't agree with as trolling.
Like I said.. no offence. My perception of you lacking common sense and being quite stupid was based purely on your posts. I obviously have nothing else to go on.
I think it's great that you get an opportunity to use vouchers for higher education... that part has no bearing on my perception of your stupidity tho.
Congrats and uh You Go Girl! Is that better?

Congratulations! Not many people get an opportunity like that. After one more year working in the state prison I'll be able to attend the community college and further my education. 365 days seems like an eternity.. Once again congratulations.

I don't believe that. Most of us know when we're trolling/being extra inflamnatory. We enjoy it and it makes up part of the fun of posting on these boards.

Actually, your response and past observed behavior says otherwise. Its amazing that you still believe (delude) yourself that you're not a board troll, or have not trolled other threads. Moreso since you're a moderator. Grats though.
