My relatively staid characters have bounced because of this discrepancy. They changed it so 'k' defaulted to kill, not kiss, why can't they make 'boun' default to bounty?

There are a few notable exceptions, such as cardinal directions and things like l for look. Either way TheE seems confused because Kill is prior to Kiss...

Nah, it used to be 'k' would default to kiss.I'm pretty sure the problem used to be that people tried to "l <name>" and hit k instead of l... leading to awkward moments. I don't remember anyone ever trying to kiss a kobold or something (besides Edaarin, obviously).

Evarin randomly snorts a lot, as I will type s, then change my mind and attempt to go north.

Seriously, people who type out directions are weird.

But easy solution = PSINET ALIAS boun=bounty

Same as when you type NOD and hit the space bar before you get the OD after the N and you see yourself heading North.
