Janisi

The Landing Guard (soon to be Elanthian Sentinals) is looking for recruits. If you would like to join or would like a bit of information, myself, Chadj, or Favorsham will gladly help you out.

Good idea we can call it The Elanthian Guardian Defender Sentinel Guard Force, or something just as original.

Any elite organisation needs a "super" or "mega" or "ultra" in that.. but your name sounds cool still

Rastaman, do you ever wake up and say, "Wow, it sure is a nice day!" Or have ANY positive moments?

You seem so very negative all the time. Sad. Ahh, well, I shall pay no attention to the creeping crud of chronic naysaying.

Acolyte Kurili, abnormally cheerful

Why is what they are doing so bad? They are trying to RP... we should be encouraging that, not teasing them. Sometimes you guys are nothing better than first graders... you'd be the bullies on the playground.

No no...

Sometimes people try too much. Just roleplay damn it.

Invent the fact you have an invisble and non-existing pirate boat around the street, et cetera.

PRO won't work because in your organisation, you always have twists

I wouldnt have made fun of the PRO if it was something original or interesting. The Landing Guard? I mean come on.

PROs, like DDR, that are based around some idea or philosophy that hasn't been played out a million times are fine. Anything else is just stupid.

I'd like to see some Deity or culture based PROs. That's something that intrigues me.

Also, since when do people care what I have to say? No one should take me seriously. I'm just some halfwit on a gemstone message board. I shouldnt mean anything to anyone.

EDIT: I suck at typing at whatnot

Making a PRO like that just means they want to do some effort, but not that much.

Please, please reconcile those two statements for me.

I have no problem with PRO's (so long as they're not Onoir), they're pretty much analagous to other RL religions, in my mind. You can have ideas and practices that are different than mine, just don't put them in my face or I'll be upset. And no, the start of this thread doesn't count as putting them in my face.

Any attempt at roleplay, be it formalized or spontaneous, should never be mocked or ridiculed as long as it its within TOS.

The Obsidian Tower started off as a PRO, and eventually added to the official history of the game. Hate it or not, their efforts have contributed to Elanthia.

I wish you luck in your efforts, Janisi.

Janisi I wish you the best hon. PRO's while ridiculed by others take an incredible amount of time and energy but if done well can be a lot of fun. I am in one and I love it personally. I have been in some that weren't so well organized and fun as well. Just do what you want and don't worry about what others think. You'll have fun and the TOS rules aren't that difficult to follow if you have knowledge of them.

Ok, so (by your logic), Janisi is saying that people who feel better by insulting other people are insecure because Janisi feels that if she were to insult another person to feel better about herself she would be insecure.

This makes her target less of an insecure twit, how?

Xcalibur
11-30-2003, 06:27 PM
Psychology on the net without knowing the person really really deeply won't works, it's that simple.

The best that can be done is to shot something like that " you are insecure because of", "you are a mythomane because of" "you're doing projection because of" and hope that the person will bite.

Janisi is trying to get into the big league too fast!

Well, no one really knows much about what happened in the Dark Ages, that's why they're Dark. So strike one.

As for 60% of women being empaths, there are eight professions in the game, meaning that with no influences, 12.5% of women will be empaths. And since I'm reasonably certain that neither you nor anyone else has done the kind of research that would make any claim based in fact, my hypothesis is more likely and therefore correct. So strike two.

I'll give you the important thing, because everyone is important. But I'm not "latine". Because that's not a word.

To reiterate what has been said before: Janisi is awesome for starting a PRO. You can ignore X on this topic. :)

Latine is a word, my latine friend. I stand by my 60% of woman have an empath as their characters.

And having 2 strikes, i can still hit an homerun ;)

I'll admit, Xcalibur, I did have an Empath. I think she may have made it all the way to train one.

So I'm one empathless female here.

Empaths have their uses, but by no means needed.

Dighn has gone from title to level 51 without the aid of an empath aside from his time with his Shira'qa.

Dighn is a sorcerer. I recall between 40 to 50 having but so few encounter with empaths too.

As a rogue, later, it was every hunt, or herbs.

Male empath bother me though...

Xcalibur, I do not think I'm important. I'm a train 11 empath...There are plenty of legends in the lands who really are important, and I don't have to be like them. I like to be myself. I'd also much rather be myself than a "Gemstone celebrity:.

A sorcerer that has hunted in Icemule and Pinefar with weather effects, and in RR kicking kettles and eating Major Elemental waves. As long as your alive Demeanor cold will stop those woundtakers from taking what your mistakes have earned you.

Artha
12-01-2003, 07:35 PM
Hopefully they'll protect the landing from the invasions those train 90 people can't handle.

Chadj
12-04-2003, 12:23 PM
No group anywhere can handle an invasion alone. However, groups such as the Elanthian Sentinals prove to be much more efficient than just random groups of people, as we would have strategies, maneuvers, know who does what and at what time to do it. So, no, our purpose ISNT to fight off those invasions alone, but we are to help out. Currently, me and Favorsham are working on everything, so when the site is up, i will post it.

Drew2

First of all, I agree that empaths are not -needed-. I used to sit in the Greatroom between hunts and see Dingh munching away on herbs and I didn't so much as glance over at him. I understand that some people like to take care of themselves, so I respect that.

Secondly... Xcalibur, Tayre would PWN you so hard it would make your grandmother cry in her grave. BONE SHATTER WILL ROCK YOUR WORLD, BITCH.

Thirdly, good luck on your PRO, Chadj and Janisi.
