Just got my overdue paycheck. What a better way to demonstrate fiscal responsibility than blowing half a G on this wild bastard:

Now, I ask you, the good people of the PC, especially the financially savvy ones, how do I make the price drop ~$200? One of my engineer-type friends managed to get a regular 360 for like $90, with the catch that its hard drive had basically 0-no memory storage.

I'm wondering if there's someway to Chinese black market this into the same dealie where a big ass chunk of memory is physically removed to knock the price down a little -- Or is this model too new to actually have that ability? Thoughts?

I'm mainly looking into the Elite's HD (High def', not hard drive) capabilities: I could really care less about a Live subscription and I don't save games too much, with the exception of being a NetHack savesux0r :saint:

So yeah, everything 360 Elite, commence!

What games are not made of suck? And are there currently gameplay options in some of the more recent (or older, for that matter) 360 titles that indicate they'll have some sort of special Elite HD graphic option?

...Will all 360 games currently on the market get that extra video suave from the 360 Elite..? How I mine 4 fish?

I just picked up a premium about an hour ago. I really don't see the point of the new elite console, at least no reason to justify a $100 increase in price over the premium. I think a 120 gb hard drive is a little overkill for a console. I'll let you know if my shit screws up, Stan.

From what I understand, the main draw to the Elite version is HDMI support, followed by a bigger hard drive. Yippee.
