XBOX 360 worth it? [Archive] - The Gemstone IV Players' Corner

I've been considering getting a 360, is it really worth it at this time?
I've played GoW single player before and had a blast...I hear it's a riot online.
What else is there worth the time on it? Looking for a deep RPG with good graphics (already got Oblivion on PC). Is Project Gotham good?

Was also thinking a PS3 instead, but I really don't see any titles that will interest me that are out right now. I can always buy this thing later if the game situation changes.

I would say the Xbox360 is very much worth it now. With the recent pricedrop, I don't see whats stopping you!

Project Gotham is a very good racing series, as is Forza, and both have very good online.

Both PS3 and Xbox360 are a little lacking in the RPG front, but we all know that will change soon (especially in the PS3's case). Xbox has Lost Odyssey out soon, and Eternal Sonata (I heard its on the short side, but has a really fun battle system and amazing graphics). And of course we cannot forget Mass Effect, from the ever amazing Bioware. Mass Effect has ALOT of GOTY hype swarming around it, and it does look pretty amazing.

PS3 will have future RPG's, but not alot within the next while. They got White Knight Story and FFXIII, but both are up in the air in terms of release dates.

If you plan on playing online though, or at least hooking it up to the internet, I highly suggest an xbox at the moment. Alot of games have online play of some sort, plus there is always downloadable content (of course companies like to gouge us with extra fee's, but sometimes its very worth it), and it has alot of demos of games. Unlike the PS3, which seems to only get a playable demo once in a blue moon, Xbox gets a playable demo of a game either just before it releases, or the day it does release.

I might also add that if you do not have a PC powerful enough to handle Bioshock, that is another must reason for getting an xbox!
