Two sound cards

Can I use two sound cards in one PC? I want to record one audio stream and listen to another simultaneously. I'd be using two sound systems.

I think its possible yeah, you would need to select the device a program uses in the options, for instance in winamp you can select the device used for playback in the options. I mean its doable but there might be problems with some programs if they don't have the option to select the device, well they will just use what ever you have set in windows as the primary sound device.
