I payed the 5 bucks for the tabula rasa pre-order, and they are letting me beta test. I only played it for about an hour last night and it's pretty smooth compared to some I've tested.

I myself have always been more of a fan of Sci-Fi as opposed to Fantasy, so I'm really looking forward to this game. Feels a lot like what Star Wars Galaxies SHOULD have been.

Anyhow, there is an NDA, so I'm not going to say anything other than it feels fast and smooth. Not that Play NC or anyone else is watching the players corner for leaked NDA information, but whatever.

Anyone else testing this, or looking forward to it? The complete non-dearth of Sci-Fi based MMO's has been grating on me for a long time, so I hope this game doesn't deliver suckage.

I have been looking forward to this game for a long time. Is Garriot still at the helm?

Just got it..awesome game. Shooter style/mmorpg, nonstop action, very good attention to detail, base capture/defense.

If you want something different in an MMORPG, I'd recommend picking it up.

Screw the NDA, spill the beans.

Actually, now that it's out, how is it really? I was a big fan of PlanetSide before they threw balance out the window and the population plummeted. Is Tabula Rasa more of an MMOFPS than an MMORPG? Or is it WoW-like? How much is the monthly fee?

I've been playing since beta and I just recently bought the game. It's more of an MMORPG with some FPS qualities about it. For example, shooting at an enemy relies on "dice rolling" in the background rather than your aiming. But to attack, you don't just "click" and it'll attack for you..you have to keep clicking to shoot. Also, using cover and crouching makes a BIG difference when it comes to combat (usually I just run in, crouch, shotgun them all, then hit em with my gun to finish them off). Not very WOW-like. Eh, the monthly fee is the same, 15 bucks a month or if you pay in advanced, you get discounts.

Bleh, that sounds bleh. Where's the skill if the dice is determining whether you hit or not?

I'm waiting for the Warhammer 40k MMO game...
