Roll window popup in groups

So for 2 weeks now I've been having an issue where whenever I party with people and we come across an item that needs to be needed, greeded or passed, I don't have the popup box come up anymore and everyone has to wait until I pass by having the timer run out.

They told me it might be my AddOns not being up to date, so I updated everything and the issue is still not fixed. The only threads I was able to find on the officials had a Blizzard rep say that the person who had the issue should reinstall the game. That's pretty much the point where I'm at right now, but I can't find my disks. Is there an FTP site out there where I can DL the game and then just put in my CD key from logging in to my acct online, or does anyone have any other ideas on what could fix the issue?

I had no problems with these addons, but the last one I added was Bongos 2 and even without running it, I still had the same issue.

Do you use any bar addons? I used one once that incorporated the roll window into their setup and made it this tiny window on the side.

If you use Bongos, it has a roll window mod.

Instead of reinstalling, you can run the repair utility in the WoW folder, I think it's called repair.exe.

And you can also try the usual delete your WTF and WDB folders (after backing them up).

I don't know where it is or what but there is a file that's either an .ini or a .xml or something that is your window position layout... it's possible your roll window somehow got placed outside of your screen size, and when it's popping back up it's popping up in that location... so either edit the file in notepad, or delete the file entirely (reset to defaults).

Try /reloadui (is that the command?) in game after you get the popup too, see what that does... and check in the options for a layout reset.

Damn, now that you mentioned the window mod I remember. It has this huge box with roll on it and I wasn't sure what the hell that meant, I was thinking it would be a button that I could push to roll for me instead of typing /roll in the chatbox, so I hid it cause that's what I thought it was.. I bet that's what it is, I'm gonna try that when I get home. If not I'll post a screenie of my AddOns.

You can disable just the roll window in your addon list so that you don't have to worry about resizing and moving (if you have Bongos, that is).

It really takes very little time. (I've had to do it due to hdd failure three times recently)

Yeah but it's a total last resort (and waste of time) if all you're concerned about are UI mods.

Yah the install from the disks didn't seem that long, it's downloading all the damn patches that took forever.

Should only be like one or two major patches and then just launcher updates that fly by. When I first reinstalled I was dreading 59 sequential patches.. to my relief it was all in one fast d/l.
