question about fax/printer

I will be working from home through next school year. Simply put, this will require a good, fast printer and a fax machine (outbound only required). I don't want to get a phone line, however, for the fax machine. Is there a service (like Skype) for fax machines?

Also, if anyone highly recommends a nice, reasonably priced (but not bargain basement, I want performance) printer/fax combo that would also be appreciated.

If you're going outbound only, you don't need a fax machine. Windows XP has a built in fax service if your printer has the "scan ability".
