Okay, well today i decided i was gonna buy a new video card. But lo and behold it looks like gateway REMOVED the AGP slot from my MB before they shipped it to me. So i'm thinking about building a new computer with my tax return. So..to the point..

Anyone know anything about these new processors, Such as do you need special OS support for them, Are they even available yet. Etc.

I'm doing research but i haven't paid attention to computer hardware since i actually had money..which would be around the time AMD was still talking about the K6. So any info is appreciated.

I've not heard a lot about them yet..but I'm sure none are actually out yet. Though there was talk that one of the many that are comming out can run both 32 and 64 programs..which would be nice ;)

Sweet, it looks nice but i think i'll wait for intel to come out with theirs, effectively lowering the prices of the chip. 400 bucks for an AMD chip is insane.

I'll ask my friend online next time I see him Ranger, last time we where talking about cases, he had found a really cheap case that came with a liquid coolent system.

www.pcformat.co.uk. I don't know if you have an American version, but it has excellent tips for modding your PC's.
