Can you do both? Can you mstrike/ambush from hiding or do you have to chose one over the other. If someone is almost exclusively going to ambush hunt, does MoC or MStrike really have any benefit that is worth the cost.
I'm asking from the point of view of a rogue and a ranger, both ambush hunters.

Not getting Force on Force fucked is nice. I ambush and mstrike constantly as a Ranger.

You have to chose one or the other.

You can hide then mstrike.

I thought I remembered you stepped out of hiding, then mstriked when you mstriked from hiding.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't played in at least a year.

Just to add that this only helps you by the fact that you are hidden until you want to attack, you won't be ambushing, just mstriking.

Oh, well fuck that then, MStrike is useless to me it sounds like for the point costs involved.

oh yeah, im still debating the other benefits of MoC...but it's not something I would be in any hurry to dump points into now. I don't sit in rooms very often getting swung at, and my ambush times are pretty quick.

I recommend it for anyone hunting in OTF.

why would you recommend it for OTF? Just because of swarming, or some other reason?

Major RT stacking and swarming.

There are tons of ways to get RT stacked and made prone.
