He dropped it, I picked it up. I'll fill you in later after I get back from house hunting.

Discuss.

Ahh it's a crap 1X claidh...

Alter it to make it look pink and write on it : "forever yours, Bobmuhthol" and give it back to warclaidhmotion

I have never been so proud of you son.

AnticorRifling

Alright here are the details. I'm not sure if I auto-logged but I'll check.

I was in TSC and Warclaidhm rings in and drops his claid. He then says don't touch, someone heal me I'm gonna die. The claid had been hit by weapon fire and was flaring up so he dropped it to save his own ass. I waited for it to stop flaring and I picked it up.

That's it.

The way I see it if you choose to drop your weapon to save your own life then you decided that living was more important than the weapon. Either take the hits because you were dumb enough to let a creature that knows weapon fire cast at you or suck up the fact that you put down a weapon in a high traffic area.

Let me see if I can't dig up the log....

Drop a $100 on the ground in Time Square and say "nobody pick it up, I'll get in later." Yeah, that's bright.

StrayRogue

Keep it. As is said to NEWBIES, anything on the ground is no one's property by default.

The 100 in question would need to be set with a time bomb since 915 is kind of.. like that.

Not really as dying in Gemstone means what? Not a damn thing.

Xcalibur

The analogy is still perfect in my sense, he droped it to save his life.

I know death means 0 now in gemstone aside for some DR points, but in this issue, i think it's different.

He's a little bitch for using a ring in the first place.

AnticorRifling

I've been hit with weapon fire before, I was stupid enough to let the creature get the cast off. I did not want to lose my 8x falchion by dropping it and having a critter or someone pick it up. I stood there and took the flares and moved on.

3m vs 3k deed

stupid guy should had drop it elsewhere where no one was there

drop claidh
take great
wait for the claidh to flare, take it back

keep it, it's an order

StrayRogue

Anticor, keep it. Seriously. It will teach the little beggar how to hunt. It will also teach him how little value his own life is in comparison to an item.

Xcalibur
01-02-2004, 08:12 PM
Be careful

he surely reported you 50 times

give it to someone else, pretends it's a gift, but keep things clear on AIM that it is not. Lay it low for a while

Sean

thats why you hunt weapon firing critters with a disk.

StrayRogue
01-02-2004, 08:14 PM
Why? He has done nothing against policy. Anything on the ground belongs to the public domain. Of course its common courtesy to leave certain items for people, or atleast it used to be, but still, its also common sense not to use expensive gear in dangerous areas.

I think it is great that Anticor will return the claidhmore to Warclaidhm. Perhaps, young Warclaidhm will learn more from this than just how to protect a cyber-weapon in an on-line game. ;)

Xcalibur

No he will not, he plays the game for 3 years.

You know too well he won't learn and become normal by an act of sympathy of Anticor.

Keep the damn claidhmore, keep it low profil (you never know even if it's not against policies)

GM already ruled they wont help him get it back

The terms "Warclaidhm" and "Will learn" should never be used in the same sentance. It will never happen.

Why is it that everyone else in the lands learned early on that you NEVER DROP YOUR ITEMS IF YOU PLAN ON KEEPING THEM and he was unable to grasp that simple lesson? Why is it we should feel sorry for him over and over and over again?

The hell with him... keep it Anticor. He certainly doesn't deserve any type of kindness in my book.

There's nothing against policy.. so what can the GMs do to Anticor? Maybe ask him to give it back.. but certainly they can't force the issue. Warclaidhm knowingly dropped his weapon on the ground... once you drop anything on the ground, consider it gone. If you get it back, you are ahead of the game.

Warclaidhm has never been accused of being ahead of the game.

Warclaidhm said it on the net that a GM told him they cant help since he dropped it on his own

He told me I win, guess I got a new claidhmore. We'll see if he tries anything to get it back.

I will not sell it, drop it in the well, or dispell it. That's only because I still have a heart. The claidhmore will go in the locker until further notice.

I'd sell it back to the idiot for about 5 mill in coins. That might teach him something.

I will probably be bashed for this, but knowing that you all do not seem to like the person who dropped the Claid, why in the world would you take it? I mean if I wished not to interact with someone, why in the world would I do something to gain their attention..I think it's a mean thing to do..but what do I know..(yes I'm a big wimp I guess for thinking this way) But I really do think you should do unto others as you would want done to you..that being said..yes I agree dropping the weapon was pretty dull..however picking it up seems to me to be just as dull..for I see nothing "right" about doing the mean thing..

ever the nice..

I agree with you, actually. Yes, Warclaidhm has brought much of this upon himself. I think this is just needlessly picking on him. Maybe I'm wrong, but if it was anyone else who dropped the weapon, it probably would've been returned or not even taken in the first place. As much as people here want Warclaidhm to quit, a lot of you would miss being able to fuck with him should he actually leave.

Anyone ever consider ignoring him? My character has had zero interaction with him in the game, therefore I have no complaints about him.

I only find it fitting because of all the scamming Warclaidhm has done in the past. Otherwise I can see why it's wrong. However simply put "Paybacks are a bitch."

Well said. The bastard scammed me when I first started playing and was very young. He gets what he deserves.

Yep. See, if you give it back, Anticor, you're just disproving the whole 'karma' philosophy.

You wouldn't want to do that, would you?

all i really have to say on the matter is hopefully he'll learn a lesson from all this.

i know a long whiles ago i leant a 10x waraxe to a "friend" who decided it was worth more then our friendship and burned me for it. what did i learn? not to be as trusting of people. that lesson cost me a lot more then a 3-4mil claidhmore.

while i feel bad for warclaidhm i wont help him because this is a lesson he needs to learn. and i get the feeling if he got the claidhmore back or the coins to get a new one he would ignore the lesson.

Heh I forgot about some of his wonderful scams!

Like when he was selling an item on the amulet that he didn't even have? It belonged to Drizzsdt or something. Yeah I feel REALLY BAD for POOR WARCLAIDHM

Xcalibur

Culain was doing that and it was VERY annoying.

Merchant my butt

I wonder if people sell items to warclaidhm with a special taxes..

You know, cause it's him, you sell it 10% more expensive.

Yep. He payed 4 million (according to him, anyway) for a 2.5 million claidhmore.

He will not learn a damn thing if you give it back to him. He needs to grow from this.

Having said that, I bet you could sell it to a few very wealthy people who would have an incredible ceremony at the well before desposing of it...

Alright, the real crimes here are:

A) That Tijay even had a 10X waraxe.

and

B) That I don't. :(

Man, you ought to rub it in. Go on the net once a day and say, "This is the 62nd day I got a claid that used to belong to Warclidiot and I enjoy laughing at him."
