I dont see a reason why a buyer couldnt change this guy over to a paladin if he bought it.

I can think of many reasons why I wouldnt do it though. ;)

I turned one of my young clerics to a paladin, now I can't even be bothered to play him.

Just look at what's for sale on gsauctions.com. There's a reason why half of the characters there are capped paladins.

Clerics and Warriors need to stay Clerics and Warriors.

As a cleric, he was pretty much untouchable. He always hunted Old TA in full offensive with a shield and open hand, and could not be hit, even lying down. Offensively, he normally killed Izthir on the first cast and griffins with 2 casts.

Granted, he had good gear, but a high-level cleric is pretty powerful. He also made a lot of silvers with all those skinning and trading ranks.
