Hey everyone I just got back into the lands...it's so strange I havn't played since GS3 days. I'll say though man, it's a lot better then I remember it being. Even then it was like crack, I don't even want to think about how much of my life this is going to eat up.

Just wondering how'd everyone switch over from the GSIII days? I remember waiting forever to get a high roll when character building, but did they nerf your stats because of the new system? or did everything just carry over?

Oh I'll tell ya how I switched over....first I went into shock and stopped playing for about 4 months.

Then I made a brave attempt to revise all my stats, got rid of my weapon, bought myself a sucky runestaff...then stopped playing for another 4 months because I couldn't hunt at all!

Then I came back, sat around listening to conversations and asking questions that I felt completely ridiculous asking....then stopped playing for a few more months because I was completely overwhelmed.

After a year, I finally got it figured out and could hunt again. Of course, I'm premium and I have 15 characters so now I'm going through the process with all of them.

Someone remind me why I pay for this game?

Welcome back!

Your stats will be converted over to GSIV stats. We all have the same starting stat allocations now. GSIV will also convert your character's skills to GSIV-style skills, but the converter is pretty wonky. You'll have 30 days during which you can migrate skills however you please immediately. So you can play around a bit and figure out what works for you.

Your character's level will no longer be the same, but that's fine. What's the profession? Your first move should be to get in touch with people of that profession who can help you out. Feel free to post here, and I'm sure some people who know about the profession will jump in.

Glad some people are coming back. We could use more people in the game. It is going to be alot to come back to so we will try to answer your questions as best we can but this is the PC so expect some pullback.
