So how in the hell is anyone ever supposed to be able to wear heavier armor?....and even with a cast of strength it didn't help....100 ranks in freakin armor?...not enough for a freakin breastplate?

i dunno .. my rogue is 40 and only 1x armor but hunts extremely well wearing breastplate

I'm not sure if they changed it but isn't worn armor not included into the encumberance equation as long as your trained for it? So if your unencumbered without it, put it on with full training and it shouldn't lower your DS?

It has nothing to do with whether or not I can hunt in it, it has to do with the reduction in DS wearing 4x half plate over being butt-assed nekkid. WTF is the point in having enchanted armor if your DS is still gonna suffer?

For DS to drop is completely different from being able to dodge and parry....I put extra ranks into that too to make up what I could for heavier armor...a DS drop is just boolshit.

And BTW, X, my rogue is a half-elf with 94 STR and 100 AGL and DEX....so whether or not I'm big enough to wear it is a moot point.

what about constitution?
that is taken into the weight equation, and that is vital to determine if you want to wear huge crap or paper armor

I'm not bitching about RT or RT adders, I'm wondering why the DS drop. Or looking for a formula, or something other than what I've known about armor for the past 8 years.

When you wear armor,as long its "normal weight" it doesnt add to your encumberance at all. If it weighs more the difference is added,if less the difference is subtracted. By wearing heavier armor tho you are taking a hit to dodge,which will lower your DS but thats the only part that should suffer.

Drop 20 DS and get Plate DFs and Crit Divisors... you won't take that deal? I'll bet you could drop 80 DS and come out ahead on the deal in terms of injuries (with normal weapons being used).

Now if you're upset because the equations are all bolluxed up, then yeah, that's no fun. But from what I hear on the official boards, there's barely a formula around that works in GS4 with any constancy.
