I was just curious with society, surge, coup, heroism, strength, and bravery all running up. Exactly how much of a AS - Critter DS gap will I see for the higher levels all the way to cap? Say it was an elf warrior.

Not sure the bonus on Coup.

202 weapon = 302 AS
202 CM = 101 AS
Surge = 16 AS
Bravery = 15 AS
Heroism = 25 AS
Strength = 15 AS
Bonding = 10 AS
WSpec = 10 AS
Elf Str = 25 AS
4x Weapon = 20 AS

Totals to 543. CoL would be 574, Voln 565.

Berserk and Spin attack would add even more.

At cap, most of the square critters have a DS in the low- to mid-300s.

Pure critters have a somewhat higher base DS (400ish), but crit much easier. Occasionally DS is temporarily boosted to close to 500 from spells like walls or wizard shield.

Semi critters interestingly have the highest base DS from my experience at cap, in the low- to mid- 400s.

You should be fine if you can maintain an AS is over 500. So, for an elf...

202 weapon ranks = 302 AS
201 CM ranks = 101 AS
100 STR stat = 25 AS
4x weapon = 20 AS
Society = 35 AS (-9 for Voln)
Weapon specialization = 10 AS
Weapon bonding = 10 AS
Surge = 16 AS

Does not include outside spells or enhancives, because that's not really a self sufficient way of hunting. So, that comes out to what, AS of 519? Yeah, you'll do fine as long as you can either:

(1) Incapacitate and aim

(2) Swing a two handed weapon/polearm

Lance would be nice since constructs can't be crit-killed anymore :(

I used to be able to crit-kill constructs with my 570 Heavy X-bow AS.

Doesn't 606 also add to AS? Also, at that level you could probably squeeze a few more AS out of having a +10 Skill bonus to CM, possibly a bit to your weapon type as well.

606 and 307 both add to AS, but they're self cast, so you'd have to find a scroll or item. There's a few other spells that add to AS as well, but like the previous two, they're self cast.

211 and 215 are self cast.

I think Fallen was suggesting if a warrior has access to 211 and 215 then 606 shouldn't be much of a stretch to throw in the mix.

I never suggested they weren't self cast. I use all of those spells as a wizard. I guess I was simply pointing out the obvious in one specific post and adding 307 to the mix as well.

By the way, 606 adds only to physical AS and not bolt AS, if it matters since this pertains to warriors.

Also, don't forget bard songs, those can last a while with older bards singing whether they're in the group any longer or not.

Spell 211 is much more readily available than 215, 606 or 307
