Sound issue

Alright so for some reason my music wont play on my computer today. I can open up the files and start playing them through itunes/winamp/wmp but its like the pause is permanantly on and wont play any music. Any ideas?

I used to have that problem intermittently on an old computer. My guess was it was a sound card looping problem. The two ways I found that fixed it were 1) rebooting and 2) causing a system beep. The way I did (2) was to go to Control Panel >> System >> Computer Name >> Change and then click on the window behind it, but there are plenty of ways to do system beeps.

Did you recently upgrade to a different version of Windows?

Sometimes the drivers uninstall when you switch up your IF. Um, maybe you can check out the device manager and see if something is missing/disabled/flagged? You could also try re-installing and/or updating your sound driver(s) methinks.
