They may be more expensive but as far as I know these imbeds are the best made in the game mana wise.

Portous has 60/90 in his shop. Ten waves of strength per rod, 10 taps of haste. I only get about 54/81 in mine.

I do use Portous' imbed. As far as I know they hold the most mana. Also if the prices do seem high to you make an offer on them.
