The new expansion is going the exact same route as BC. So everything that's current in BC will be worthless, just like "old world" stuff now. Yay..outlands becomes another mindless grindfest on the way to the next area. The instances won't be run. People will just ignore the content.

It's such a shitty way to expand on the game.

I don't know, I recently leveled a character from 0-50 and plenty of people still do the instances and quests pre-Outlands. Considering Northrend is going to be 68+, I think plenty of people will actually still do Outlands quests and instances, rather than just grinding straight through. Plus, think of all the quests in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley... most people cap at 70 and don't even bother doing those quests, unless they're doing them for rep. I think a lot of people will start with those quests, then head to Northrend.

A typical Blizz maneuver will be to put a level 80 dungeon in HFP and another in Tanaris so that they can force people to use content they've made obsolete with poor planning. I'm pretty positive the reason they aren't adding anything GOOD to this game anymore is so that when they come out with WoW2 next year people will have something to be excited about.

I hope theyve learned from that. For example, when I was in the range, I could still get groups for SM or ZF because the equipment was good for a while. But Ive skipped right over the Scholo/Ony/etc. instances because the quest rewards in HP outclass the stuff so bad.

Well even the Outlands greens you can get on the AH for 5g a pop at level 58 are more desireable in many cases than level 60 blues. I do occasionally see people LFGing for Scholo and DM for class quests.

I'm not looking forward to another expansion myself. The last one did a lot of damage to my old guild and made everything I had worked for on my priest basically worthless (I did keep one piece of T2 up through 70 though, heh).

Yeah, thats what Im talking about. Those blues being so outclassed unlike blues in the level ranges beforehand.

I probably *could* get a group together to go into Scholo or something for the fun of it, but its better spent time to run Blood furnace or Ramparts. I hope they dont do that again with the new exp.

Granted by the time it comes out I will reach 70 (god I hope so!) but still, I won't get to see this current end game, just like I missed Naxx. Oh well. Is one of the nice features of the one I'm in then.

Raid progressing isn't spectacular, but is healthy (and continues to make progress), and Guild has been more about friends having fun instancing/questing together.

BC was pretty much a life saver for me. I quit, stepped back, and came back to WoW with a lot more moderation.

Now I'm not even phased by the new expansion because I wont have so much of my time invested in lvl 70 content that I feel fucked by the expansion like I did by BC.

Yeah right. Good luck trying to get a guild to run old school raids when they want to focus on the new ones. Those that do are few and far in between. So true. Though there are those between the 50-59 gap that still beg guildies for runs through Scholo, LBRS, BRD, or Strat every once in a while. But even those requests are few and far between.

The only joy I get out of running the older instances is soloing them on my own or occasionally taking an enchanter along so I can farm for the old school shards and such. I did finally get my UBRS key, after the expansion, but I was never able to complete the hunter epic quest which sucked as everyone pretty much stopped running Ony for good.

In any case, I'm not looking foward to the expansion either, but I also won't complain when it goes live.
