This is the second time I've been wtfpwnd by some asshat repeatedly e-waving his bandits during an escort task. Last time I died. This time I got hit twice (and I'm fucking lucky I didn't die), stood up, then the fucker e-waved AGAIN, so I stood up, cast an open implosion, and walked off.

I'm not sure. I had to sign of darkness because my script quit. Luckily I have a script that goes from the deep freeze back to IMT. Then when I got back to IMT I immediately re-started my script to Solhaven (that's where I was going before the assface fucked it up).

If nothing else, it fucked up his AdvG task.

They are ewaving in the middle of nowhere, only the rare traveler would be caught, and your lucky it wasnt major ewave.

I understand the frustration and I would be mad as well if it happened to me, but you have to realize not everyone can handle bandits without using some sort of mass spell.

saw simmer hunting in the tower in illistim last night with a CS of 520. good luck with problems with him if they should arise. that being said, anyone with a 520 cs shouldnt have to ewave during escort tasks.

It isn't like he call winded major ewaved yer ass. Most people will grab a hand if your group is open. It's an escort quest... they happen.

regualer ewave screwed up yer script? is it so hard to hit shift+escape? I am sure he appreciated yer blowing it out of proportion.

If he didnt respond/grab a hand apologise and did it multiple times I can understand maybe... if you tried interacting with him. Interaction other then a open implosion first.

And if any of the above was the case other then you going off the deep end you should a pointed it out in yer post first.

You shoudn't let a couple of isolated incidents build so you have to dick someone over. what are the chances of walking in on an ewave anyways even at peak playing times?

I guess if yer having a bad day and something off color happens when yer in game, it is always ok to take it out on virtual soandso : (

Even as a capped sorcerer those escort tasks are still very tough. It's not a problem of you , the player dying though, it's the weak ass person you're escorting.
And the best way to save him is to put the attackers down right fast.

Saying this, doing it again and again while he's seen you is a wank thing to do. He should have taken you in his group and picked you up.

The fact that I was there, and getting smacked by HIS bandits, didn't even register. If he had not been casting e-wave (repeatedly, as I said in my first post omg!) I would have walked away from the situation without a scratch.

The easiest way to handle bandits without using a mass spell (especially if he's a fucking capped sorc) is to just leg them and move on. I used make a habit of quaking them and leaving, but the very first time I walked into the NEXT room to discover I'd knocked over an innocent traveler in front of a Titan, I felt like shit and quit doing that.

This kind of thing happens. I got hit with a mass calm when I was hunting a lot in Danjirland. When I thought to the guy he was kind enough to come back and undo it as well as cast a couple of spells on me.

It's unfortunate that it happens but the best way to protect a wimpy traveler is flooring the bad guys. That's not to say that since the guy did it twice to you in one go that he couldn't have been a bit more polite by simply pulling you up/grabbing your hand/whatever.

Using mass attack spells during escort tasks (on some of the most travelled pathways around) is assinine, and I reported the last person that hit me with it, after he decided not to RP, cast inviso and ran off. If you're really that old a ball spell is going to stun pretty much everything in the room anyway and not harm other characters.

Nah. The bandits gen at the level of the person doing the task. Unless you have a shit ton of lore, stuns are by no way reliable against like leveled foes.

I personally haven't had a reason to cast a mass spell that will affect other characters while doing escort tasks with my wizard. I haven't done escorts since the new changes were rolled in, though. (plus she's on teras now anyway.)
