As long as we are voicing opinions, I hate it.

Old method pelase.

I love the new system of folders...No more searching for ten minutes for the post I forgot the name of!

Just my two cents!

Player of Morrff's many!

Yeah this new style blows balls. Traffic wasn't enough and isn't enough to justify splitting this into two bazillion folders.

OMG START A POLL!!!

OMG START A POLL!!!

That would work

It would be nice if mods and admins would do polls BEFORE arbitrarily doing shit though. At least then assholes like me could shut the hell up when majority wins.

yea, new folders are as shitty as play.net now, and it's the reason I don't read play.net forums

A pre-modification poll would have definately been a wise choice when considering a change of this stature.

I've still had pretty good luck with my sales here. I will be using the folders more when I get ready to clean out some lockers.

Personally, I just read NEW POSTs, so them being in different folders doesn't bother me...

But!

Evander Coleyfield will knock any poll the fuck out!

It's not bad to try new things. If it doesn't work, then..it can be changed back.

I'd give it more time.

It's generally pretty easy to tell when something is less efficient, and requires no time at all.

I may or may not like the new folder system.

I am an organized individual, so this may be a change for the better.

I will wait and see.

I chimed in at first with a vote of No, even though I didnt PM Satira about it as I was not 100% sure how I would like it. But every time I try to look for sales threads, I wind up getting frustrated. When I am not interested in all the political BS, and the now common personal attacks - or any other crap I just dont want to sort through... I still have to go sort through 8 folders even though I am bypassing everything but the merchant one.

So my dislike for the new system is becoming more hardcore if you will.

I think one folder for the merchant market is enough. We dont have thousands of members in here selling all their crap - in fact half our members dont play anymore. So I just dont see the justification of having more folders because a few people didnt like seeing expensive items they cant afford. I believe that was one of the main things I heard as a reason for seperating the sales into different categories.

I like the new setup especially the appraisals folder. Looking over and seeing appraisals next to a thread called "best plate" means I can more or less just skip it.

AestheticDeath

bah we had a stickied "Whats this worth thread?" Hows the appraisal folder any better?

Alfster
07-23-2007, 07:11 PM
that thread was messy as hell

Sean

Because its a lot cleaner finding items that have previous been appraised than going through a 100 page thread.

Gotcha. So lets have a folder for appraisals rather than a sticky. And put the rest back to normal!

You can always use the search feature.

You can always use the search feature.

That's less productive than one folder or ten for merchanting purposes.

Bobmuhthol

o rly? "I wonder if anyone is selling an awesome onehanded weapon. Let's search... OH WAIT A MINUTE, you can't search for something like that and all the threads are scattered throughout multiple folders!"

I liked the "what's this worth" sticky much better. I read that thread and often answered it, but seeing someone create a new thread every time they want to know how much some altered container is worth is rather annoying. One thread was better than new posts for every person IMO.

The multi folder trying to mimic officials is rather annoying /agreed How bout if your hard core on folders one for the nifty apprasials and one for Tsin then let us browse whats for sale old school style which is why these boards Used to be better than the officials.

Oh suuuure do this on the day I wasn't online. Well, this is good. After a bit if there's enough h8h8h8h8 votes in that poll then I'll talk to Kranar about switching back.

I don't think you should look at it as hh8h8h8h8h. Actually I think it's great that you took initiative as a mod to try and make a better change. Sometimes the best ideas don't always translate well (wooden dildos for example).

heh, j/k

But I agree, its not hate at least from me. I just think it hinders me more than it helps me.

I'm glad it hasn't reached h8h8h8 level for at least a couple people, yet! And I'm really happy someone made this poll. I don't want to make a change that the majority of people aren't happy with, so we'll see! So far it's lookin like we'll go back to the other way.

Ehh Either go back to the old way, or add a folder for under 1m, 1m-10m, and keep the high end item folder... there is no folder for individual items... people gotta post in an auction if they wanted to sell one thing.

AestheticDeath
07-24-2007, 07:20 PM
We dont need to seperate items at all in my opinion. Not unless you want to do a cash only folder and coin only folder. Whether its an auction or a flat price sale or a single item.. who cares? Its all stuff being sold, and it belongs in the same folder. Like I said before - we don't have an overwhelming throng of people posting 100's of threads everyday.
