Although the floating platform is suspended well above the ground below, it overflows with abundant plant life. The edges of the dais are brimming with delicate white queen's lace, dark lavender, fragrant rosemary and a variety of other colorful flora. Thick grass underfoot provides an enticingly peaceful resting spot. A thin silk canopy is rolled back to permit an unobstructed view of the starry night sky. You also see the Aethyrin disk, a sleek brown mouse, the Devilslove disk, a smoky-eyed fire wyrdling, the black Laevin disk, the Kelestra disk, a spring raccoon, a large faenor-chased barrel, a richly finished wooden bench with some stuff on it and a glaesine arch.

The imposing facade of the Shimmarglin Inn dominates this corner of the court. Flanking the inn's doorposts and hanging above each glaesine-paned window, grinning gargoyles stand in stony defense of the lair within. A trickle of patrons flows through the inn's wide front doors, allowing a short-lived flood of light into the court with each swing of the doors. You also see a floating dais and an ironwork signpost.

A low grey stone wall provides a backdrop for several flowering trees, each sending a small shower of petals tumbling towards the ground with each stir of the night breeze. The court is relatively quiet, as a few shoppers visit merchants and a single group of travellers chat amongst themselves. Warm amber light shines from the northeast and the glowing glaesine windows of the imposing Shimmarglin Inn. You also see an ironwork signpost.

The var widens as it meets the bustling Shimmarglin Court, its cobblestones worn smooth by ages of traffic. Lanterns hung from ironwork posts light the way with a gentle amber glow. On either side of the var, groupings of flowering trees and hydrangea bushes bursting with delicate blue and lavender blooms nod gently at the passersby. You also see an ironwork signpost.

A tall stonework wall stands on the west side of the wey, tiny chinks between the massive stone blocks barely visible to the eye. Fragrant white climbing roses, their clusters of blooms drifting in the night breeze, climb portions of the wall and hang gracefully from the top of the granite edifice.

A few travellers and townsfolk scurry up and down the wey, each industriously about their business at this late hour.

The few people entering and exiting the city at this hour are forced down a narrow path as the gateyard terminates at the Sapphire Gate. Crafted of glittering mica-flecked blue granite, the gate arches high overhead, buttressed on either side by equally imposing carved granite gargoyles. Sandblasted into the granite just above the gate's open archway, the crest of House Illistim is outlined with silver tracery. You also see a colorful silk marquee.

The gateyard begins to narrow as it funnels its occupants towards the northeast. The stone walls close in a bit, flaming iron-sconced torches spaced evenly along the stoneworks just above reach for even the tallest giantman. Two guardsmen stand atop a wooden platform, inspecting the hubbub of the gateyard. You also see a wooden barrel.

Quiet in the night air, the inner gateyard is home to only a few at this late hour. The city guards converse amongst themselves, stopping occasionally to inspect the few travellers who journey into the city through the inner portcullis. A lone wagon rests near one wall, apparently abandoned for the night by its owner. You also see a city guardsman.

Two city guards stand rigidly at attention on either side of the tunnel's mouth.

Thick grass underfoot provides an enticingly peaceful resting spot. A thin silk canopy is rolled back to permit an unobstructed view of the starry night sky. The few people entering and exiting the city at this hour are forced down a narrow path as the gateyard terminates at the Sapphire Gate. Crafted of glittering mica-flecked blue granite, the gate arches high overhead, buttressed on either side by equally imposing carved granite gargoyles. Sandblasted into the granite just above the gate's open archway, the crest of House Illistim is outlined with silver tracery. You also see a colorful silk marquee.

Two guardsmen stand atop a wooden platform, inspecting the hubbub of the gateyard. You also see a wooden barrel.
