I guess I'm missing something here...I calibrate the lock, then I pick the lock...and if the two match I should get a rep?
THe last 4 box's I've picked of varying difficulties, I've gotten the calibrate read correct, but after I pick it, i get no rep credit. Do i need to somehow verify it before i pick it but after i measure it?
As an aside, I guess I still need to adhere to the certain skill level lockpick for the reps based on LM Rank? I have been so far, but it would be nice to know if I could use a lower level pick for more XP while working.

Pick, Calibrate after to see if they matched right...
Big pain in the ass.

So, i pick it, then just keep calibrating over and over until I get the same thing and I should get a rep, or do I only get one shot at the calibrate...
and I thought I was in a better place now that the parchment reps are over...

No, let's say you pick an east lock and you calibrate it and it was difficult, no rep, need a new lock.
You keep going and going.
Don't forget to be LM MEASURING before...

so really, "calibrate, pick, calibrate" is what you're saying...as long as the two match though I should always get a rep? Or is it like sensing, where even if you tell him what your sense says, it's not always correct and you only get reps every so often.

Heh now I'm confused, I been using a script I found here for skilled masters.
You can take a look at it.

I'm missing something here...I'm trying to do this to my own boxes...and I cannot calibrate my calipers yet. I think I was using the wrong terminology when describing measuring the boxs...
all i need to do is match the lock to my what my caliper measurement says...and i can't seem to get reps. I'm rank 6 in LM...god it's slow going.

these are a joke... the master reps are miserable, they take forever to lock the box between attempts, so you're there forever just for a couple reps.

lmaster measure my {type of box} for your own boxes. Works with that as long as you are holding the calipers. All I do after that is use the lowest lockpick that is quailfied to use, at rank 6 that would be glaes. At rank 8 it goes to Laje. I always get reps as long as the box is high enough. I guess that depends on your actual training in lockpicking and disarm traps. I think it goes up 10-20 every rank you get also. For example, last rank I had I could get ranks with -mid 200 boxes, now it's higher (boxes tough enough for you).
So you don't break a bunch of picks don't start with your lowest lockpick you can use (ie glaes) if you measure the box and it's a very tough box for you to get.
If you are rank 6 in LM you haven't even started to calibrate your calipers as of yet. So right now what you need to do like I stated in the begining. lmaster measure my {type of box}. When I do my reps I am holding my calipers and holding my box. With the masters I continually hold the calipers provided and always get a rep when measuring the lock size. When doing master reps just use lmaster measure {type of box}.
