How many ranks does it take to train off spell hinderance in brig armor?(Rogue)

Minor Spirit circle is 110 bonus and Minor Elemental circle is 130 bonus.

110 bonus I think is attained at 27 ranks (50 + 40 + 21 = 111), and 130 is attained at 35 ranks (50 + 40 + 30 + 10 = 130).

I sure hope play.net is accurate, otherwise ignore this post.

Also note that you won't train off spell hindrance... you'll train it down to the minimum spell hindrance allowed. (6% for MnS, 7% for MnE)

What is the condition that lets you ignore hinderance? When you cast at a node? a natural sanct? I know there is some condition that allows you to basically cast buffs without having to take your armor off, cast, put back on.

I don't know what type of nodes are at tables, but I know most/all tables allow you to cast free of hindrance.

Tables are also sancted though, so it's hard to pinpoint whether it's the node or the sanct. I forget which it is because I never had a problem with hinderance.

I believe the sylvaraend (sp?) tables are not sanctuaries, I imagine you could use it as a control.

More accessibly, if TSC/the park are still nodes and not sancts, put on some full plate and see if you get hinderance there. Either way should work.

Sanct = no hindrance.

p.s.: TSC = permasanct.

How much spell hinderance would there by with a suit of fullplate on and 202 ranks of Armor Use?

Depends on the circle.

And I'm not sure there's a known formula for exact hinderance % before fully trained, but that's only because I never saw one.

Probably a lot. Need 290 ranks for 20% hindrance for MnS, and 330 ranks for 22% hindrance with MnE.

(Edit: I believe Tsoran's spreadsheet calculates hindrance for selected armor, according to how many ranks of armor use are put in.)

I think I've got 96% hinderance with 140 ranks with Minor Elemental.

Wondering if I can push it down to like 50% so I can still ewave in it.

And I'm not sure there's a known formula for exact hinderance % before fully trained, but that's only because I never saw one.I tried to figure it out once and it's a huge pain. If it works sorta along the lines I found, I would guess you'd need a solid 280 ranks to get to 50% and 202 would still be max. However, I wouldn't at all mind if someone tried it out so I had hard numbers! :D

Correct, it was just the formula is a bit confusing..thank you for the input.

Sure thing.

(Just wanted to make sure since you had originally asked how many ranks it took to train off the hindrance.)
