Few questions about CMAN Weapon Bonding as a warrior.

Can I bond to a flaring weapon and have the weapon flares + the bond effects?

Don't see why not, since the bond effects wouldn't replace the flares...

s>cman bond
USAGE:
CMAN BOND {option}
Options:
PRAY - Attempt to bond to a weapon.
INFO - Get information on the status of your bonded weapon.
EFFECT {#} - Choose which special bonding effect you would prefer to occur.
Possible Effects:
1 - An attack that cannot be outright blocked or parried.
2 - An attack that does extra damage upon a successful hit.
3 - An attack that is harder to defend against.
4 - An attack that is quicker than normal.
5 - An attack that strikes your opponent twice.
CLEAR - Randomly do any effect available to you.

I just know that if a Paly bonds to a flaring weapon you can't get some of the bonded abilities like putting a spell in it, was curious is weapon bonding w/ warriors was similar.

Warrior bonding has no effect on weapon flares. In this and all ways warriors are vastly superior to paladins. :)

LoL. I play a 61 paly and a 59 warrior, both wear plate, both swing lances, and both mstrike. My paly is far more powerful with his spells and such, though, and he's only a halflin ;-) I'd take my halflin paly over my giantman warrior anyday.

Heh

FWIW, I love my elfie warrior. Sure, some say elves suck... but I'm loving the 2x MoC & 2x TWC. (I do have to say, I dropped the TWC for a while, to get through hunting Shan. I'll be picking TWC back up though, because it's just that damn cool.)

Yeah, especially the "let's hope only one weapon I'm attuned to in a specific way flares now" fifth rank sure does outmatch, say, stasis'd 1605 and/or a rank 5-bonded 1625'd weapon

Even if you received any of the five weapon bonding effects per each and every swing, warriors would still be the shittiest combat profession.

In summation, as always:

"My weapon can flare twice randomly."

"I can focused impode."

I think the comparison works better this way:

"I can focused implode."
"I can stand up to a stiff breeze without collapsing like a Southern belle after seven mint juleps."

:D

It would be horribly strange if all the Giantkin were sorcerers and Delves warriors all'a'sudden.

For those interested, I got ahold of Michelous in game and let him have a chance at killing my Paladin like he claimed he could've.

What the heck is up with that extra +40 and a d60 roll instead of a d100?!

Bobmuhthol

Truestrike or whatever it's called. It guarantees +40 roll and then has a d60 roll to make the threshold 41-100.

Ahhh, that's where I've seen the d60 thing before, the Truehand CMan. And here I was looking all over the spelllists for some reason.

(I hadn't realized it gave the extra +40, though. Interesting.)

(ETA: Damn, that CMan actually looks really nice, especially for going against bigger critters. Snifty.)

Fatali
07-20-2007, 01:56 AM
Yea, but you can't aim the attack or anythin, and there are many other CMans that are much more useful than a bit extra bonus to your roll.
